They have a soccer team. But I can't stand soccer. I just don't think it's a man's sport.

I won two tickets once and threw them in the trash like Ron Swanson threw away the vegan bacon on parks and rec.

Anyone who says this has never seen Zlatan, Viera, Gattuso, Suarez, Barton, Jones or Muscat play.

Some of those dudes were playing more MMA than anything else on the pitch. Vinnie Jones was openly trying to explode ACL’s out there lol

I assumed he was thinking of building something like the Star in Frisco. It's a really nice place. Costed 1.5b dollars though and Frisco paid 300m for it to be built. It's 12k seat stadium and a lacrosse team plays in it.

City payed for the Ford center stadium and parking..ext some restaurants and shopping plus cowboys fit gym and such also there.

1.5b in SF vs 1.5b in NC is a very very different number.

I know people don’t like the Wofford/JR connections but camp has been great there for a long time and I don’t think it should be moved. Pretty clear that it will be but I’m not thrilled about it either.

I am. I hate that drive.

Also you will get more coverage from tv to print. Won't cost a thing to send people to fort Mill

They could still do a day or two down there to play to the SC crowd.

edit: oops nvm didn’t realize they were going south of the border to begin with.

You're entitled to be wrong that's what makes America great.

Lol except you are the one ignorant about the sport. I’m not gonna continue arguing with you over it. I just hate the ignorant comments that are so painfully uninformed.

Note that anyone who says soccer “isn’t a mans sport” and proceeds to make a Parks and Rec reference is basically contradicting himself ;)

LOL! Definitely agree that soccer is trash IMO, but I would've at least given them to someone who would've appreciated them.

Maybe it’s because I fly in from out of town anyways and plan for the drive and everything but I’ve had no issues with that drive. Have always flown into Charlotte, check out the stadium maybe buy a new jersey or hat and then drive down.

For people out of the Carolinas, visiting a fort Mill for camp then stopping by the stadium for photo ops and team store is a much better proposition.

Sites getting the most talked seem to be in Rock Hill.

The article includes a diagram have a potential space. Looks like the same one referenced before next to Anderson road and i-77.

Apparently, they're also trying to get a new exit specifically for that spot.

    • Got to talk to Tiny Lister once back when I worked for AT&T.  He was a nice guy.
    • The team signed undrafted rookie JJ Weaver from Kentucky. The 25-year-old Weaver played six seasons in college (with injury waivers), and had 21.5 sacks. He was a three-time team captain for the Wildcats. To make room for him on the roster, the Panthers released outside linebacker Amare Barno. Barno, a sixth-round pick in 2022, tore his ACL late in the 2023 season and began last year on the physically unable to perform list. He had 3.0 sacks in three seasons, appearing in 29 games. Sad to see. He seemed to have a lot of potential when he was drafted. Injuries really derailed him though.
    • Ok so how does this make sense for Blake?  Honestly I like it for us.  I’m really high on Blake’s future like I’m sure the Canes FO is.  If he continues along the path he’s on, we’ll have a top 6 forward on a KK contract.
