So, we grab this kid in the 5th, while Ozigbo is still sitting there? Not only did he grade far higher than Scarlett, he would be a good complement to CMC, and can frickin CATCH!

I swear to god, I think Marty is just fuging trolling us now. :poison:

True, but I believe in second chances and if a person turns things around they shouldn't be judged solely on their past.

I'll be rooting for the kid.

It’s the fifth round.  We have a scouting department that must have seen something.   I’ll give him a chance.

If we hit then great.  If not it’s the fiftieth round.  Despite what some may think there is probably not a safety  available capable of shutting down Brees or Ryan.

Damn I came in here to see if anyone had any intel on the guy but walked into a bunch of Hurney bashing posts instead. Sure you can get lucky and get a gem in these late rounds but at least half of these picks aren't even going to make the 53. If he makes the roster at all, it's a plus. Guy seems jacked with a great 40 for a running back, so I suspect they figure they can use him as a bruiser on short yardage. I would've preferred a back like CMC so we can spell McCaffrey for 10 plays a game without changing our playcalling and keep the defense on their toes. But I can see the value in a good short yardage back who will help preserve Cam and his shoulder from taking all those beatings on those 3rd and 1 QB sneaks. Maybe we'll try him on kick returns too?

I don’t see how you guys can bitch about this. We need a compliment to CMC. A guy that is tough with size and speed and this guy fits the bill.

Hurney has addressed our needs via BPA this entire draft. The only pick im skeptical of is Grier but the logic of the selection is sound.

Boom or bust guy. At least he isn't going to be depended on. It's a bit odd that in a year featuring such D talent and depth we go QB and RB in a weak draft for both.

Personally the guy that went right after Scarlett was my guy. Mack Wilson is a player. That was a guy I was hoping Marty would go for here. Sideline to sideline speed and cover. Cheaper Shaq replacement. Oh well.

You mean a Brad Hoover to his Stephen Davis?
