When was your first Panthers game?

Curious when people went to their first Panthers game.

For me, it was in October of 2000 against the 49ers. I went with my dad and his coworkers, slipped on the sidewalk waving at a cheerleader, skinned my knee up and caught major hell the rest of the day. It was awesome, though, because we beat the hell out of the 49ers. I was hooked.

January 2004, wild card round vs the Cowboys.  Saturday night 8pm ABC game.   Remember them showing Madden on the screen before the game as he was broadcasting.  Surreal night for me being my first NFL experience.

I also remember to get tickets , we had to go up to the Publix in Charleston on the morning they went on sale, bc Publix handled Ticketmaster sales.  I was too young to have a credit card to order over the phone.  Good times

'95 vs the Rams in Death Valley.

My dad took me.  We sat on the grassy hill by the rock.

Awesome!  Curious to see how many people went to Death Valley games on this forum!  I was there too...will never forget the traffic getting out of there after the games!

When we lost to the Eagles in the '02/'03 regular season at BOA by 9 and Kasay missed three FGs and an XP to leave 10 on the board. The revenge in the NFC CG was sweet.

That was on my 16th birthday and it was annoying but I got to meet Steve Smith after the game

I took on a whole crew of Eagle fans in the parking lot before that game.  They were being, well, Eagles fans and a kid came by selling McNab Sucks Andy Reid Swallows t-shirts.  I borrowed one, put it on, grabbed a panther flag and did my best TD flag run through the mob.

Side note (The famous Philly fan that wears the road warrior shoulder pads was there)

The first regular season game at then Ericson Stadium. 1996, Panthers vs Falcons. Kevin Greene and Lamar Lathan combined for 7 sacks and Jeff George got called for at least 3 intentional grounding penalties. Panthers win in what turned out to be an incredible run to the NFC Championship Game for a 2nd year franchise.

1996 -We win, We win the NFC West. Cordell Stewart is driving the Steelers for the win. He throws a pass into the endzone. Chad Cota leaps up and intercepts Stewart. (RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME) In my lifetime I don't ever remembering anything louder. The stadium was vibrating so hard I thought it would collapse.

Great Game. I loved the Panthers before but because a diehard and have been ever since.

GO PANTHERS

KEEP POUNDING

I think my first game was a late 90's home game against the Falcons when we got blown out by like 50 points.  As an 7-8 year old my life was over for that game lmao.

The next one I went to was the 04 playoffs went we beat the Cowboys at home. Such an amazing game.

    • 100%. And these same people will claim you have an agenda. You can't have it every way. We had the lowest rated defense in the league last year. Statistically the worst ever. By PFF grades (for whatever that's worth- but they are readily accepted, used, and conveyed by most "reputable" sources), the defense was the worst ever. Not only that, PFF rated our receiving corp the worst in football last season. The absolute worst... out of 32 teams. Which is why regardless of the lip service Canales and Morgan paid to the current guys, they knew it would be criminal not to give Bryce more help. People fixating on team stats and not taking these things into context are stupid, plain and simple, and I'm for one thankful they're not running this team (or probably anything for that matter bc they obviously can't discern reality. Again, going back to the eyeball test these Narrative Nancies seem to hate so much, did they not see the windows Bryce was putting balls into? Have the generally not watched much NFL? Please, please show me the film where all these NFL QBs are making throws like this to this point Bryce was "below average" down the stretch compared to them. Bryce made more wow throws in that 3 game stretch of the Bucs, Chiefs, and Eagles than every other QB combined in all the years since since Cam got hurt I genuinely am baffled by people that can watch throws like that and act like it's nothing. I guarantee you Steve Spagnola, Todd Bowles, and and Vic Fangio didn't think it was nothing after watching the little guy torch them with players those teams would be embarrassed to trot out at the skill position players. The national media spent all year making excuses for Mahomes not having elite weapons when he had multiple 1st & 2nd round talents at the skill positions along with future HoFers in Kelce and Hopkins. Bryce wasn't throwing for 300 yards every week with David Moore and Adam Theilen in spite of jaw dropping throws and you want to say the guy played below average. For those people, again, we ain't watching the same sport. And the name calling doesn't change that... The vitriol and projection... it's off the effing charts with these people.
    • "Well you see if you remove this terrible game that terrible game this other terrible game and then focus on these games you'll see he's actually one of the better QB's in the league and he's actually as good as Jayden Daniels". My god this place is delusional. I love it.
