I think Gettleman did DeAngelo wrong, from the time he lost his mom until his contract wasn't renewed. Up until then, DeAngelo had been nothing but an exemplary Panther, team player and a helluva running back. He was active in the community and he spearheaded the efforts that brought the entire NFL into taking part in Breast Cancer Awareness month.

After his mom passed away, DeAngelo got hurt pretty bad by something that happened from team management, we don't know exactly what happened, but something did and DWill became pretty salty. And then he was let go at the end of the season while he, and a lot of observers, felt there was a lot of tread left on his tires (something born out when he went to Pittsburgh). And around here, the Huddle as a group just savaged the guy, pretty unjustly.

I personally hope Hurney reaches out to him like he did the Steve Smith and brings him back into the family. DeAngelo was a good player and a good guy who deserved a lot better than he got.

1 good year before his fat ass contract.

One decent year after it.

That's why we don't like him. He got fat and complacent and took snaps away from Stewart.

He even admitted he dropped 15 lbs when the Steelers signed him. Why didn't he do that with us?

Because he stopped trying.

That's why he got savaged.

He also went on the NFL network twice and made an ass of himself and hasn't been invited back since. First time was making an argument that JJ Watt wasn't a HOFer because his stats were comparable to James Harrison in half the time... yep

And that time he tried to Say the GMFB people couldn't talk about football because they didn't play. Then it turns out that Kyle did, and he moved the goalposts and said that he didn't play in the NFL and was a huge dickhead about it.

William's rift was self caused and from many accounts there was no love lost when he left the building.

Is it public knowledge why Barnidge quit?

He made the pro bowl, got his fat contract and was still solid the first year of it. The browns cut him, made sense as they overpaid, and he sits out the year, also made sense as anything he would had made would have been taken out of what the browns was already paying him.

Why did he not come back after that? He would still be a very solid second te at that point.

He probably quit because he had plenty of money and his health
