What did you guys want at #12?

Washington is 6’8” and he can shoot

good rebounder and defense

this guy is NOT mkg or monk

a good pick for us

Sounds identical description to a T arguing the Monk pick over Mitchell 2 years ago

Bridges should be playing the 4, Washington plays the 4. They are almost identical type of players. Like most have said it's a redundant pick and only works if you can develop and play both Bridges and Washington together

These people have never seen PJ Washington play.  Bunch of biotches

I live in Kentucky and saw about every UK game this year.  He is undersized...marginal shooter..not a great athlete.  He is mediocre and will be a bench role player in this league.  Even the UK fans around here say the same thing.

I bet Mitch was begging teams to take our pick and some combo of our bad contracts

everybody needs to remember...bimbo, Marvin, mkg are all gone in a yr

and batum in 2 yrs

Problem is

Once those guys are gone and we have cap.  What do we have to entice a big FA to come to such a disfunctional organization

We'll just be forced to over pay for a avg guy again

Well....we here in Carolina say the same about little, actually worse

i bet he ends up being a good shooter

I live in KY now, but was born and raised in NC...and am a big Tarheel fan.

I would not take Little either.  He is a great athlete, but really showed he was undisciplined and has a low basketball IQ this past season.

    • Kalkbrenner and Sion James received regular contracts and not two ways, so the Hornets have some work to do to cut the roster size down.
    • Gustavsson would be insane. I think we would have to break the bank to afford that move. Which, I don't think is necessarily a bad idea. Ultimately, Freddie isn't likely to be around more than a couple of seasons more. We can all agree that unless they have a fleet of sports psychologists working on Kochetkov, he will never be capable of getting his head on straight enough to compete.
    • I originally hated the Miller deal but with the cap projected to rise nearly $10M next season the Canes struck some pretty good deals between Miller and Ehlers. Most of the team is locked in for the next few years. Nikishin will need an extension probably in the $6M AAV range. And Blake will need one if we don’t move him. Personally I’d move Blake, picks, and any prospect not named Nikishin/Nadeau/Artamonov for McTavish as I don’t see any any of the big time players moving teams next year. Realistically the Hurricanes should just target Gustavsson next year to fix the goal tending issue. But I’m all for moving Blake, picks, and prospects for McTavish this year. Ehlers - Aho - Jarvis Svechnikov - McTavish - Stankoven Martinook - Staal - Carrier Hall - Kotkaniemi - Robinson Jost - Jankowski Slavin - Miller Nikishin - Chatfield Gostisbehere - Walker Reilly Andersen Kochetkov I’d do Blake, Felix-Unger-Sorum, and 27 2nd for McTavish.
