Browns butthurt GMC chose us.

Coach of the year, former mvp that’s looking to be more efficient than ever, one of the top two or three yards per scrimmage backs in the league... and I haven’t even talked about the defensive side of the ball. Losing Zietler may bite them in the behind. This browns hype needs to calm down until something actually happens.

Remember that time that Cleveland amassed a shitload of talent and had a head coach with 8 total games of anything above a positional coach of experience?

Gonna have to prove something first, fellas. The Cleveland Browns make the Charlotte Bobnets look like a franchise that really has it's poo together historically.

Maybe I missed it but where did it say the Browns were upset?

If buried in a Bayless interview zi cant watch 11 minutes of that guy

Sometimes you actually have to read something and make an inference. It may not always be stated explicitly. Having a Cleveland.com article downplay Carolina by boosting everyone else in the NFC and then concluding that if you were going to Carolina to win, then you were going to the wrong place, surely sounds a little bitter and butthurt to me.

I think the Browns are going to be good because Baker looks like he’s gonna be a stud QB.

Yeah, so did RG3. So did Vince Young. So did Sam Bradford. So did Teddy Bridgewater.  Can't crown a guy after a promising rookie season. Sometimes the NFL figures guys out and then there's always the ever present injury wildcard.

Browns are way too cocky and Mayfield is a jackass. I hope they have 10 straight losing seasons.

I can't be upset with a fanbase that has been starved of success for years. Every team is 0-0 right now and is excited for the future. Cleveland made great moves this offseason and have plenty of reasons to be excited.

As far as Baker goes, he shares some similarities with Cam. Both are outspoken and want to win desperately. They do things their way and won't apologize for it. Gotta respect it.

    • I mean, if Moore really wants out, then it would behoove the Bears to make it happen sooner than later. X is a lot younger and cheaper, and may be a better fit for Johnson's musings than a disgruntled, unnecessary, overpaid vet. If they can dump his salary and maybe get a fourth or so in return, it may be worth it to them. As for development, I'm not concerned. You're talking about a seeming bust, a day three guy and a UDFA. They are developing relative to their ceilings. I doubt any of them will ever command the coverage, money, or the respect that Moore has acquired. He's a tier above them. Yes, even X.
    • IMO, if Ceedee plays against us, the game probably goes the other way. Same with Tyreek Hill and the Dolphins. Our team just isn't designed to beat teams with two high level receivers like that. But when you look at the league, how many teams really have two guys of that caliber?  There's nothing wrong with defensive adjustments, but sometimes I think a lot of fans want Evero to call a different play like a game on madden, and defensive football just isn't like that. That said, I thought we did a much better job this season against the Cowboys of flipping Jaycee and at least making them work for it, opposed to last season when they literally just lined CeeDee up on the other side of the field every single snap.  For us to just straight up switch to consistent man coverage, or a different zone, or whatever, we likely would consistently need different personnel on the field. Doing it a few times a game is a gamble and can work, but if we consistently run man coverage against the Cowboys, eventually a RB is going to beat a linebacker, or something of that nature with our personnel. Part of the reason Evero likes this scheme is that, while we have our defaults and presets, what we do is very multiple, and you can do a lot of different things pre and post snap. We are a challenging defense to read. But as you said, if guys are getting beat, it doesn't really matter what you call.
