What's the confidence level in Samuel right now?

I have heard nothing but rave reviews of his camp performance so far.  We know he has moves.  We know he has speed.  We also know he has had some injury problems in the past.  I really want to believe he can take a huge step this season and become an elite weapon.  But right now I'm at about a 50% confidence level that this camp performance will translate to regular season success.  So what are your thoughts?  Buying or selling the hype?

I’ve kept a close eye on him at camp. He’s doing things better than he’s done in the past. Intermediate route running, getting off the jam. He looks like a more complete receiver right now. But I agree, I want to see it translate. It’s OK to jump on the hype train, but it’s also ok to exercise caution in August.

If he stays healthy, he can be a Pro-Bowl caliber player.  He has already proven that.  He had 5 TD's last year in a limited role, and I distinctly remember 2 plays where he got a couple yards behind the defense and Cam couldn't connect b/c of his shoulder.  Similar to the play Allen did hit him on in Week 17.  You add those 2 TD's and that's 7 on the year.

And both his injuries were somewhat freakish.  He got rolled up in 2017 on a deep ball after he was really showing flashes and then he lost basically the 1st half of last year (at least meaningful snaps) b/c of his heart issue.

I'm not worried.  Smitty showed flashes of what he could be in his 2nd year in 2002, but it wasn't until his 3rd year in 2003 that he was a true starting WR and became dominant.

Probably one of those training camp MVPs that doesn't show up during the season as always. I've hearing that about Shaq for 3 years now.

Difference is that Curtis isn't parked behind a vet.

    • I don't think it's a homer though when I really feel this team can beat anyone.  The points that can be scored in bunches when the big three are on has high potential.  Moose has effort for days and IMO is the heart of the team.  And didn't see Miles becoming the team "vet" in the starting lineup just roleplaying lol.   We have to limit the turnovers though (Brandon Miller I'm looking at you bud, you are a bad ball handler) and some little things.   Colby off the bench is a cheat code and him and Kaulk have a nice little game going with the picks.    Sion playing every game and just getting better each game.  He has grit.  Grant and Green also grit.  We need replace Tillman with PJ Hall though.  Tillman looks like someone that shouldn't be on an NBA court, or at least with this team, he's just too slow for this tempo.   Even McNeely looked decent tonight and can drive.   If Kaulk and Moose could even be like 30% 3pt shooters man....
    • 1.) LaMelo 2.) Kon 3.} Miller 4.. Giannis 5.) Moose   1.) Coby 2.) ? 3.) Sion 4.) Miles Bridges 5.) Kalk That squad would win multiple chips.
