Unbelievable... so incredibly stupid.  To have had such a great camp and then do something this asinine...

The speeding is foolish... having marijuana is unacceptable.

And I am not anti-pot... but it is still technically illegal, and regardless, he shouldn't have it with him and/or be using it in his car

I would turn that around.  90 in a 65 is worse than the possession issue.  And probably a more significant legal and financial penalty.

If the citation was for 25 over it will be a very hefty fine and points on your license. He is lucky he didn't get a ticket for reckless driving. In some states 25mph + is automatically reckless.

Hopefully he had less than an ounce and a half because if not that's a felony in NC and you may have to server jail time. Paraphernalia is almost always a misdemeanor.

As long as it wasn't in a school or work zone, speeding is less of an issue in court than drug possession. In this instance both were incredibly stupid.

I guess all you folks must be those safe drivers, always following the speed limit and using turn signals?

Agreed but my question is, why the fug do you have weed??? You are in the NFL drug testing program.

I travel I 85 a lot and maybe 1 in 10 drivers is going 85 or better.  Most are usually between 70 and 80.  Keep it around 75 and you won't get you pulled.  Go by a cop at 90 and that will get you pulled virtually every time.

    • No one way to do it, it does appear that with the bigger draft picks of the last 5 years…..majority haven’t steered clear of young QBs on the roster being their hopeful guy. Especially past their rookie seasons but even some the biggest ones have had it early.   As far as Andy Dalton, the two young guys he has “mentored”…..have had very rough NFL starts.  Which really ask the why the heck is Dalton here.   He doesn’t really check any box.  No young potential.  Can’t step in and win.  And his mentor track record with Fields and now Bryce is bad
    • I had thought the Panthers might let him play out his contract this year and hope he stays healthy. If not draft a left tackle and move Ekwonu to right tackle.
    • Frankly, if most teams in the NFL lose their starting QB for a significant amount of time, they're screwed. The fantasy is that one has a future Tony Romo or a Nick Foles that can carry a stacked team. The reality is that you might get roughly 3~5 games out of your backup before it all falls apart. Remember all of Peyton Manning's backups? Utterly terrible. Speaking of backup QB's, Raiders may need one. https://www.nfl.com/news/raiders-qb-aidan-o-connell-suffered-fractured-wrist-in-preseason-finale-expected-to-be-out-6-8-weeks
