Rivera makes coaches most likely to get fired list

We will make the playoffs this year.  What is interesting is how there is a change in team thinking to long term, instead of running CMC into the ground they are scouting for another RB to share the carries.  They let go of a few ineffective vets like Captain M, and building up young talent.  There is real change in Carolina.

The whole premise is if we have another losing season then Ron is gone.  Duh!!

With the talent we have, if we don't make the playoffs then a lot of folks will be gone including lots of players including possibly Cam, Olsen and all the one year contracts.  On the same huddle page we have one article saying we could win it all and another saying if we don't make the playoffs there will be significant blood letting and Ron will be first. Hence the pressure and expectations on the Panthers this year.

Honestly, any coach who has seasons without his starting QB should get a pass on those seasons.  QB is far too important to the success of any NFL team.  It sorta sucks that this is true, but, that's where we are in the NFL now.  The increased emphasis on higher scoring and increasingly punitive rules focused on making defense less capable of making an impact have created the situation where only teams with outstanding QB's really have a chance.

    • I'm salty every time I see someones mid picks become stars while we throw first and second rounders over and over and they all stink outside of Tet (who still has a lot to prove, imo)
    • There is a contingent that is total Bryce but they weathervane with the wind. When the good Bryce wind blows about once or twice a month we hear a lot from them. But they are always pro Bryce, they just don’t pipe up too much when he sucks. I can’t speak for them, as far as what they are looking at.    In a second contingent, the collective mind is made up. He has had had basically three years worth of starts that might include a top tier outing or two, a few second tier outings, offset by about the same number of bottom tier outings which actually may have the edge there.  The rest of his stuff is third tier and that is going to be the bulk of his starts. We want to move on. And we aren’t getting off of that hill until he puts us off of it. He has not.    There is a third contingent that has no conviction and definitely weather vanes. Bryce is good. Bryce isn’t good. Depending on the latest game. They will buy into 7 on 7 success so that should tell you something.
    • Nacua is really fuging good. He might be a better version of Cooper Kupp.
