Per Panthers, DB Rashaan Gaulden (groin) and TE Greg Olsen (back) are questionable for Thursday.

OLB Bruce Irvin (hamstring) is OUT.

OT Greg Little has cleared the concussion protocol.

hamstrings are lingering injuries....Short term this sucks but this is good for us long term because we get to put Burns and Haynes right in to the fire.

Wonder if Little plays at all Thursday. Imagine we won't shake up the line at all and it'll be same starters in same positions but would be interesting to see if he gets any PT (if we get up big late)

We will need Irvin down the stretch when Burns his the wall. Let him rest that hammy for now.

With Irvin out our run fits will suffer. A good part of the reason we got gashed in the run game is that on numerous plays whoever was responsible for turning the play inside and guarding the edge got totally washed out.

Was hoping Irvin would be ready to go but not a big surprise he's still out on a short week.

Glad to hear Little has cleared the protocol.

If Olsen is limited, I wish we'd just roll with Thomas. I honestly think he's the more dynamic TE at this point in their respective careers.

There is his veteran presence on the field though, and as someone else pointed out his presence in the huddle.

It's a trade-off.

This is true but the luxury of having Thomas is we can rest Olsen and let him heal because he does still produce on the field. He just can't stay healthy so what is the downside of letting Thomas play and getting Olsen a little extra time to not be limited when he does play?

Edit: it is a trade off but having Olsen not on the IR is also valuable which I would hope spelling him with Thomas could achieve.
