Pause here to consider the possibility the panthers are better than you think

This must be what the last stand looks like after all the race baiting and "fake fan" accusations have fallen flat in what is obvious to 95% of the board.

We're enduring losing right now.  That 9 game losing streak and all stretching back to last November, with another 8-10 losses this year remaining.  We'll win a game or two, maybe even three more than '01 or '10, but we're no longer on the precipice.  We've fallen off.

Says the guy that joined the huddle smack dab in the middle of the 2015 season under the name Camvp only to change it on the low only a few seasons later hoping no one would notice.

Can did have sufficient time behind that line to complete a pass at times but just held onto the ball.  You could tell that he really wanted to run with the ball but knew he was not supposed to

I’m not sure there is a rule that he isn’t supposed to run, in fact I seriously doubt that or that went thru his mind. I can think of two plays he took a sack where I thought he held on to the hall too long only to see on replay no receivers were open. Coaching has been a serious disappointment so far. The fact no backup RB or Hogan hasn’t gotten any run is pathetic.

I'm more depressed about the Panthers than I've been since 2010, and last night was the first time in his career I've actually questioned Cam, who I realized I have an emotional attachment to, so this isn't a slathering positivity thread like the sort that invariably pops up after existentially bruising losses. However, consider the following:

• Cam is rusty. He threw a lot of dimes between the numbers, especially on those crossing routes he's struggled with in the past, and on the misses deep there were a lot of miscues in addition to overthrows. That tells me timing is off, and that's rust.

• The offensive line is terrible. I was at the game last night and found myself specifically watching the pocket every snap. On virtually every incompletion Cam had a defender barreling straight at him. At least one wide-open touchdown was stymied by a free rusher. No one in the league could get a rhythm behind that line - it's '07 Raiders level of historically awful.

• The defense is elite. No dropoff from Thomas Davis and that DL is a bunch of animals.

So unless you're hoping to lose out and dump Ron and Norv - which I would count as a long-term victory, as he's clearly worn out his welcome - the season could easily be turned around. A few line adjustments (posters have suggested switching Moton and Williams) giving Cam time to settle into a rhythm could produce offensive competency, Cam's returned confidence, and a couple of schedule-evening wins against weaker teams.

It happened in 2013 - if it happens in 2019 that's exactly how.

That last point, while I appreciate the non SACA aspect of this poo. I do not agree they are elite at all. No way.

QThe oline hasn't had a chance to get.  Cam is rusty. Cam and the receivers aren't on the same page.

All these things are fixable, and the team has 10 days to make a marked improvement.

Is it an uphill battle at this point? Yes, but those 2 losses won't mean much if the team starts winning, and run the table.

You know what I do...come out role Cam and throw multiple bombs to DJ and or Samuel.  Give Samuel rushing carries.  Change basically.  Throw the fuggin ball long early.

We could be in a good situation...fug it go after it if we lose fine.  Gotta quit trying to not lose.

You’re delusional.  This is why your wife left you.  Keep spending daddy’s money.

Regardless of how you feel about Tepper and the new 'culture', Reality ... no it sucks.  They are not better than you think and most of us saw it coming.  Cam was ruined by trying to make him something he is not.  Been brewing for years.  Should never have drafted him if they wanted a pocket passer.

Tepper is nothing if he doesnt make wholesale changes to coaching and front office.  Everything about the Panthers is entitled and stale.  Have said it since his hire, RR is not cerebral enough to be a HC.  Dude is in too deep but found an org where he can stick. It's actually quite obvious if you take off your homer or political glasses.  There will be ebbs and flows under him, but nothing to build upon.

Cam isnt a waste ... he was wasted by this org.
