Ryan Clark defending Cam

Cam has always played on the field and lived off the field with great care and concern for his team, his teammates, his coaches, his fans and his community. To say anything else is to not just be wrong but to expose a sad personal agenda.

Yes, his recent play is worthy of criticism. Yes, his mode of dress does invite some catcalls and ridicule. You cannot, however, argue his history, his accomplishments, his commitment or his integrity.

The guy is a man among men and when he was on, he played like a man among boys. Injuries eventually catch all the great warriors.

Real poo right there, how the hell you gonna drag Cam when we ONLY been relevant because he carried the team since he's been here, especially since 2014... after GMan blew up the offense the 1st time!

Then later blew up the defense after the SB by screwing the pooch on the Norman deal! Then f***** our depth by drafting a DT, and three f****** corners and a 7th round TE in the same year!!

We are where we are due to leadership, Cam Newton ON THE FOOTBALL FIELD has given every damn ounce!

Yeah...that ain't happenin'

I recall reports that Tepper was among the minority owners making a strong push a few years ago to get rid of Tomlin. If that was true then yeah no chance, but if that report wasn’t true then the connection is there and Tomlin may be on the outs pretty soon.

You dont know and I dont know. Right now, it’s a possibility.

I know Tepper was one of the guy that wanted tomlin out in Pittsburgh but Tomlin is still a pretty good hc that tepper knows. I dont see tepper hiring a young coach from no where.

I definitely could see him hiring a "young coach from nowhere" before I could see him hiring a coach he doesn't like.

Add in that if any of the Kevin Colbert stuff plays out, that might not bode too well for Mike Tomlin's chances here either.

    • Fishy: 78 P; Svech: 67 P; Jarvy: 66 P; Fly: 65 P; Blakey: 49 P; Ghosty: 47 P: Hallsy: 44 P This team could end up with an 80P guy, 2 70P guys and 3 50P guys when it's all said and done.
    • Seven North Carolina players have entered the transfer portal or announced their intentions to enter so far today: Derek Dixon (6.5 PPG) Jonathan Powell (4.8 PPG) Kyan Evans (4.0 PPG) Zayden High (3.4 PPG) Isaiah Denis (1.9 PPG) Jaydon Young (1.8 PPG) James Brown (1.2 PPG)
    • As long as we have DB, odd man fronts are the way to go for us. We want to line DB up between the guard and tackle (4i-tech) because of how quick he is off the snap and his punch on the guard off the snap. If anyone is wondering why he pretty much has to be doubled (or combo blocked) just about every snap, its because he is lined up in that spot in our odd man front. If we change to an even front, it becomes a lot harder to have DB play the 4i-tech.  Not sure if I would say Evero likes smaller NTs - I wouldn't call Bobby Brown a small NT by any sense. I think we run a 1-tech NT, so they are usually getting double teamed (or combo blocked) by concept alone. I actually think Bobby Brown did a pretty good job of eating blocks and being positionally sound on most runs at him (not his fault we were rocking ass LBs last year + Wharton being god awful). The bigger problem came on the toss plays/outside runs where DB wasn't able to blow it up in the backfield (i.e., the Bills game). Lloyd should help with the run D and getting a rangy LB in the draft will definitely help. There are also some good 1-tech DTs (and 0-techs) that can be instant day 1 starters for us in the draft.
