There is no dilemma. We have a starting QB who is hurt and a backup who is healthy and playing well. As long as Cam is hurt there is no dilemma. The only dilemma comes if Cam heals up and Allen is still playing well.

At which point you have Romo / Prescott.

Rivera was very quick to reduce Allen's performance to a "one-time" event of sorts; he said, "He had a good day."

In Allen's brief career, his statistics:

Pass completion percentage 68.4% with 6 TDs and 0 interceptions  Those are backup numbers?

Nick Foles backup numbers!

Either way, we are going to win if Allen continues to ball.  Let's say Cam comes back healthy and goes crazy.  We should get a first or second rounder for either of them at the end of the season....In other words, a good problem to have.

One of Rivera's main things, that he's mentioned every time, is he doesn't want players to lose their jobs before they feel their career is over.

It happened to him and it made a huge impression on him.

No veteran is going to get wally pip'd under rivera, no matter how poorly they play.

This is a great point.  He relies on his instincts from his playing days a lot.

    • Tools. If I hear that term used one more time I'm going to lose my damn mind.  "Tools" are meaningless if they cannot use them already. Stop looking for "tools" and find productive football players. Stop looking for combine freaks and look for guys that have produced at a high level already. Tools my ass.
