Billy Joel to perform at BoFA on April 18th

Not sure I'd go see Billy Joel, but if we now have a venue bigger than PNC it can't be anything but good for the area.  There are definitely shows that won't play a venue like PNC but would consider BoA.

I was at The Stones show in '97....  Good times...   I wouldnt think he would draw enough to fill a stadium but to me its a positive move....  I know in this day we are supposed to hate everything tho....

Ummm.... I’ve seen Billy Joel twice, and was born in the same area he was.  He’s a legend, and I absolutely love his music.  Funny he chose to play Wake Forest’s stadium first.

You probably know Piano Man and that’s it.

Just saw Billy Joel this summer in Philly (Citizens Bank Park). Despite being 70, he put on one of the best shows I've seen.

His Live at Shea Stadium album is awesome.  Last concert played there before it was demolished.  

He did a “Shameless” duet with Garth Brooks, and a “Let it Be” duet with Paul McCartney (although he let Paul do most of the singing).

Ya'll are delusional if you think Billy Joel won't sell out whatever seating they offer at BOA. Despite the fact that he hasn't had anything new in awhile, this is still a big get for the city. It's going to be packed with Boomers, people taking their kids, and old, red-faced guys on TRT, wearing shirts like this:

A few years ago some of the surviving members of the Grateful Dead did 2-3 days at Soldier Field & sold out all shows so you never know.

(Granted Deadheads are nuts.)
