So.... What's the plan against Deshaun Watson?

Prevent the deep ball. I have a feeling Dre will absolutely chew up whoever is guarding him. If the defense can keep everything in front of them I like our chances.

I'd probably put Bradberry on him, honestly.

Hopkins is a decent sized guy, strong, and he outweighs Jackson by a good 30 pounds. If I'm the Texans OC and I see Jackson matched up on Hopkins, I'm gonna throw it to him short and watch Jackson try to tackle him as he runs.

Was alluding to that point, imho I see Hopkins being shifted and moved around a fugton.

And yes, I see Jackson being abused by Hopkins if he’s not schemed to be double covered. Hopefully Rivera sees the obvious..

Activate all our pass rushers. I dont care if Kawann sits out again this week. He has been a disappointment since 15’. Butler player better last Sunday than Kawann has so far this season.

Let Luke spy on Watson and have our young rushers come off the edge. We need another big game from Mario. Chargers couldnt get to Watson all game; had just 2 sack.

I think our offense matches fairly well vs Houston’s defense. Keenan Allen had a field day against their secondary. Their corners are a 35 yr old Joseph and Bradley Roby who never did live up to expectations in Denver. Remember this secondary is the same one that got abused by Brees and they next day had to cut Aaron Colvin.

    • I understand why people say things like it could be worse in relation to Tepper but it just doesn't jive for me. Are the optics bad? Yes. Would I want her to be the owner of my team? No. But I mean she's only been owner for a year and the Colts overall are a better run organization. As far as I know they've also never had the distinction of having the worst win percentage in all of professional sports either. Tepper has owned this team for 8 years and about the only thing that has been consistent has been the ability to continue to find different ways to achieve new lows. Even now people are saying things are different yada yada but we said these same things at certain points under Rhule Fitterer and Reich. I'm going to wait to see how the rubber meets the road this upcoming season before I make any strong conclusions about anything in relation to the longevity under this franchise going forward.
    • This is a toughie because I wonder what a guy like Canales thinks about redemption stories for addiction issues. Also, I think this is a case of 1 player getting caught, and not being naive enough to think this isn't more common in college than we think. I'd toss a 3rd rounder out there. 2026 is essentially a redshirt season regardless, so he's not taking over for any NFL QB next year. Best case, he's ready to go in 2027 if we pass on Bryce's extension. Worst case, he's our future backup QB2. Kid has the tools to be an NFL QB. I do think we could somehow land a '26 3rd round pick back in a trade. Our past years' third rounders are: Brazzell Princely Wallace DJ Johnson Matt Corral All this to say, I could see a team like the Jets going w/ a 2nd. They have three FRPs next year.
