I liked it, sounded how I thought he felt. He seems to still love the game and atmosphere and wants to win. Sucks his foot is holding him back and it must be frustrating as hell for him but frustration isn’t what he needs right now it’s focus so I see that going on.

I’ve never doubted his will to do what he needs to to come back. It’s more of if his body with comply and listen or the injury with continue to nag him and his body is just saying it’s done.

And no one knows that or controls it. Maybe he’ll come back or maybe he won’t but either way I’m rooting for him and/or what or whoever is next up.

I changed just a few things in your post above...out of curiosity, do you still agree with the revised version? After 10 years of Huddlers talking about how Cam carried Rivera’s sorry ass, if he hypothetically leads us to the playoffs without him...do you think he’d finally earn any respect from this fanbase?

I think the primary difference is that I don't think many if any root for Ron to fail and show hatred for who he is as a person. Even though I would like to see a change at head coach at head coach I would love for Ron to prove me wrong because he genuinely seems like a great guy.

Ron needs consistency to win respect as a coach. The greatest coaches of all time are coaches that have consistent success with multiple teams a, QBs, etc. being able to adapt. 

Good coaches are consistent with the gift they’ve been given. Who knows how Mcvay, Payton, Belicheck would do without their QBs.

Average coaches seems to be in that category where they do one thing really well (like build a defense) but need a crutch where ever that might be and a lot of times that’s the root of the inconsistency a deficiencies 

To answer your questions I have no doubt it will help but in the grand scheme of things respect doesn’t come after a season but consistency.

I’ll ease up on Rivera I’ll admit that for sure, but I don’t understand how you can sit him for a rib injury and a dress code violation, but you didn’t sit him for the lisfranc injury.

sometimes as a coach you have to save players like cam from himself. I just hope the stubbornness of Ron realizes this going forward regardless where he ends up in the future

From the way Cam made it sound, I dont think Ron knew about the full extent of the Injury until after the Bucs game. He said he hid it.

Say what you want, until I see Cam healthy and dominating, I'm on the Allen train.

 

If Allen shits the bed these next few weeks I'll promptly hop off, but I don't think he will. I think he has that offense buying into him.

And if Allen does dominate this season as long as Cam is out, you absolutely do not take him out because Cam will have zero room for adjustment or error. If he performs under Allen in his first game back, I can guarantee you will hear "we want Allen" chants.
