On to the Jags vs Panthers (-3.5)

Lots of running, defense, and relatively little passing.  I think we win a close low scoring game, if we can slow down Fournette and company.

I think being at home will help this team. Fournette will get his and so will McCaffrey.  I think our overall personnel and scheme are a little better. Won't be a walk in the park but what is?

This will really be the test for our rush defense with the new 3-4 look. I say bring an extra man in the box the whole game to shut down Fournette and let the rook try to beat you with our #2 pass defense. I like those odds, ESPECIALLY if Djack is able to play

Hopefully Ramsey will still be busy with his new child, I mean illness, I mean hopefully his back will still be hurting.

Almost two identical teams. Two young QBs that have been playing well. Two run first offense and two very good defenses. 

 

Keys to winning this game: 

*establish the run game early

*pass protect; cant allow multiple sacks

*stop Fournette, force Minshew to win with his arm

Fournette is going to rack up some yards but we shut everything else down, so they probably score 16 points.

I say we keep him under 75. We have been a steel curtain for running backs. Also the Texans defense was better than what we will be facing. Not many lines are as good as the Texans was.

Also their run game (until yesterday) was pathetic.  Fournette broke one good run Week 3 to save his stats where he was literally averaging negative yards a carry, and then went off against a terrible Broncos team with Chubb and his torn ACL.  Not saying he can't go off against us, but we should be able to stop their run game.

Have to slow down Fournette and Chark who is really getting good.  We need a turnover free game and we should have a good shot.

More than anything want to see Norv open it up some and stop being ultra conservative and predictable
