After 4 weeks the offensive line rank; after 8 weeks

I realized that. My point is that even though the ball is out quickly that doesn't take away the suckage that they are currently. It only masks it.

They aren't that bad under Allen who knows how to throw the ball away, hit the open guy and not hold the ball. Once Little has come in for Williams the O line has improved although losing Turner has been tough.

The other factor that no one talks about is the C position. Kalil leaving has hurt this line more than anything. Paradis is not a good C so far.

Given he is coming off injury and is learning a new system and had had 2 quarterbacks in 4 games I am giving him more time to get it together. But no he hasn't played well up to this point.

I think that this stat and rank is a bit misleading since Allen took over the ball has been out of his hands quickly and he's been dodging rushers. When Cam was under center he was being harrased frequently and they gave up several sacks. Paradis has been so bad too. Middle of the pack doesn't seem right.

The average QB gets the ball out well under 3 seconds. Tom Brady is usually 1 or 2 in the league at that.

Allen's just doing his job!

Offensive line is ranked slightly better than average coming in at 14/15th in the league depending on what stats you’re looking at.

Moton has been our best offensive lineman.

Putting in Little last week helped quite a bit, bumped us up a couple spots.

Paradis still struggling.

The Cowboys oline has played godly. I think following their footprint and drafting the hell out the oline is something I’d be down for.

While the Cowboys oline is good, playing the Dolphins, Redskins, and Giants awful defenses will most definitely inflate those stats

No doubt. The 1st team they faced with a good DEF(NO) they struggled. Losing T. Smith didn’t help. And they don’t do well when he’s out.

At the halfway mark...

Panthers offensive ranked 13 despite the eye test results looking much worse. Passing offense doing well.

Perhaps the Oline isn’t as bad as it seems.

Moton still a beast and the best oline man.

Paradis has yet to prove he’s worth the signing.

Problem areas seem to be inconsistency. Seems like we have a rotating lineup every game.

Still when Cam comes back or really whoever is QB doesn’t have much of an excuse not to put up points.

The loss against the 49ers had a lot to do with the defense, mainly run defense and discipline which is on coaching.

I think the biggest factor is coaching. Ron keeps being ultra conservative and Norv...well honestly I don’t know what the fug Norv is doing and without CMC he’d be one of the worst in the league.

    • I originally hated the Miller deal but with the cap projected to rise nearly $10M next season the Canes struck some pretty good deals between Miller and Ehlers. Most of the team is locked in for the next few years. Nikishin will need an extension probably in the $6M AAV range. And Blake will need one if we don’t move him. Personally I’d move Blake, picks, and any prospect not named Nikishin/Nadeau/Artamonov for McTavish as I don’t see any any of the big time players moving teams next year. Realistically the Hurricanes should just target Gustavsson next year to fix the goal tending issue. But I’m all for moving Blake, picks, and prospects for McTavish this year. Ehlers - Aho - Jarvis Svechnikov - McTavish - Stankoven Martinook - Staal - Carrier Hall - Kotkaniemi - Robinson Jost - Jankowski Slavin - Miller Nikishin - Chatfield Gostisbehere - Walker Reilly Andersen Kochetkov I’d do Blake, Felix-Unger-Sorum, and 27 2nd for McTavish.
    • Very true on the length but stuff like this is never where we shine. We aren’t a good team at drafting.
    • Homerism aside, the more I see from Dan, the more impressed I am.  His player evaluation instincts. Last year his 2 premier FA signings, Hunt and Lewis COMPLETELY changed the line and I have a feeling his success in choosing blue chip guys will continue.  Look at the panthers’s rep for FA signings in the past. By and large, it’s been guys 1 year past their prime who had an injury and suckered our GM in to a crippling contract. We never get nice things. When was the last time this team signed 2 young blue chip studs  in the same offseason to contracts worthy of their impact? Ever?  Im telling y’all, players respect and trust Morgan.
