We have a fumble prone young QB who gets rid of the ball fast.  That just matters.   And opponents know that.

When Cam returns we will get a better gauge on them because he will ask them to do more for him than we are asking of them now.

I just think to big of an effort is being made to try to paint Cam in a better light than Allen.  It just isn’t needed.  Cam is better.  I want him back to make a run.  Don’t want him rushed back because of this Allen hysteria.   Want his foot fully healed so he can be Cam.

Understandable and yes we will get a better gauge

BUT.   Kalil, Clark, and Williams were getting beat right off the gate, so even Allen's quick said passes wouldn't have done anything.  Actually wouldve been worse as we saw most of Allen's Fumbles coming behind Williams at LT, the same LT from Cam's first 2 games.

Cam holding the ball or not,  Daley and Little are giving the QB more time than this team has had in a long time.

Another thing Allen does better than Cam, he spreads around targets. Cam focused on Olsen and starting this year Moore. Samuel has gotten more looks and the 3rd WRs.

?

Kyle Allen spread the ball around to 5 targets yesterday

Cam spread it around to 5 vs the Rams and 6 vs the Bucs

Since KB got hurt and left, Cam has been excellent at spreading the ball around

True

I also like that Moore and Samuel are basically equivalents.  Cam is best without a #1.

Liar

Look up the targets

Moore week 1-5= 14  - 10  - 2  -  5  -  8

Samuel week 1-5 - 4  - 13 - 7 - 7 -6

Olsen week 1-5 = 9 - 9 - 7 - 4 -2

Wow what happen in weeks 3- 5?? Call me a liar and ???? me all you want those are the numbers, he has spread it around more. Rather even.

Team sport though. Total offensive yards and points per game?

I mean that will be the question that we one day have to ask.  A lesser talented player simply achieves better team results.   Because one day when we replace him it won’t be for a more impressive individual player than he was

We have for years have been trying to not allow the focus to be on Cam Newton. Right now CMC is our most dangerous weapon. If Cam starts or doesn't the offense will flow out of plays off of McCaffrey. I honestly think Allen might be a better game manager and Cam might not be able to be that guy. Maybe because he hasn't ever been that guy.

Average those numbers out.. also cam was on one foot. Let's put Allen on one foot and see how he looks to be fair.

Nobody in New Orleans is suggesting that Teddy Bridgewater keep the job when Drew Brees is healthy. Bridgewater is also undefeated, and being helped by offensive playmakers and a solid defense. The assumption is that Brees will be the starter again, despite the fact that Brees is older and Bridgewater is playing better than Allen is. That means something.

Cam had thrown 16 passes before the supposed foot injury.  Those first 16 passes were just as atrocious as his others.  Excuses, excuses.
