If you play good, you remain on the field no matter your paint job.

100%

Many want to hear their specific social media. You can make a cause for anything.

WIN.

End of story ... WIN ...make money , no one cares about anything else despite what/how people care to frame it .

WIN.. nothing else matters in this business called “sports” . Wake up

There is definitely a double standard for QB's. Hopefully it is getting better.

Also, KK, is CMC still just a slot receiver to you?

There is a double standard... but it goes both ways. White vs black for QB, Black vs white for WR/RB (really any skill position..)

in a perfect sports world, winning is all that matters and people are gauged by their level of play but there is a general distrust of black quarterbacks being able to be successful at this level. There are terms used that white counterparts seem to avoid even if it clearly describes them. The video clearly explains that with statistics, and quotes from supposed knowledgeable nfl scouts/gms. And honestly, I’m not sure why because they should be in the business of winning and drafting/grooming the best available talent.

Wish these topics would remain in the litter-box, Id enjoy discussing with the right people. The extremes on both sides ruin that. They will never change their viewpoint if it hurts their agenda, regardless of facts and logic.

Yeah, considering KKs talk about CMC, he may not be the best one to point this out.

Solid points he's making, but still a bit of pointing fingers at himself.

This x1,000,000,000,000

Thoughtful and reasonable discussions have become rare in the past decade. People get behind their devices and get all filled with the bravado of complete anonymity. Funny that when I have these discussions face to face with people then they tend to be much more reasonable.

Way ahead of its time, glad I saw it then. Its a shame what happen to deadspin, years ago it was in my daily folder.

What about bad Qbs who start and continue to start even on different teams

Remember the Blaine Gabbert on  the 9ers is just as good as Cam argument early in 2015

    • After watching Dan for 3 yrs now, I think I understand his plan. It’s a simple plan that should work for the long run.     I saw some of this last yr. Dan wants a vet and a young player at each position. I really think we go OT if one they like there. Moton is aging, Icky will not be back until 27, if ever. We need to get ahead of the tackle problem
    • You are just stressing too much about these particular positions. You want to upgrade from Bryce and I understand that but you aren’t going to really get that without getting into a bidding war for a QB2 potential QB1 like Willis. You could possibly trade for Mills or the backup for Chicago but they are still gambles and their teams will won’t decent picks.  Again the Eagles thought KP was a capable enough backup to trade for him once their backup was hurt and won a Super Bowl with him as QB2. The point is most teams aren’t rolling with some stud QB2/3 that is going to push even a bottom tier starter. They are better off the building their roster in other areas. The Rams are rolling with Bennett right now as QB2 for example.  The goal is winning absolutely. We overachieved last year even with stumbling into the playoffs. Another year and this staff needs to take the next step in building a team. Will Grier has little to no impact on that….
    • Three straight first round WRs is straight up Matt Millen poo. Considering the draft capital we have tied up on Bryce after that trade we would basically have spent damn near all of our draft capital in recent years on QB and WR just to put one of the most anemic passing offenses in the league on the field. Clown show poo.
