Not sure if this has been posted. But from what I gather it sounds like and I quote" Cam has done everything we have asked of him and we dont want to put pressure on him". He speaks on why he hadn't been at Games and why he didnt make all the trips because that's what the team asked of him. But if you read into what was said it sounds like the ball is in Cams court. You can return when your ready but just make sure your 100% ready...

Unfortunately it may turn out like that.  He looked defeated out there physically and mentally, and he fills the void of football with everything else to numb the pain.

If that is actually the case, who could blame him?  The refs have allowed opposing defensive players to launch into Cam head first with impunity year after year.  Afterwards telling Cam he is too young to get the same calls other QBs routinely get for much lesser infractions.

lol at the people that think this

Exactly... this is the first injury that has kept him out of an appreciable amount of games.

Somehow that has been lost in all of this.  The media wants to portray that he has missed as many games as Luck did, which is absurd.

The foot injury is, at this point, nothing more than a freak thing that happened.  I'm sure Cam has been frustrated that it happened after he worked so hard after his shoulder injury, but these things happen.

Drew Brees is going to miss just as many if not more games than Cam at 40+ years old, and people aren't calling him injury-prone b/c of a freak thing with Aaron Donald ripping his thumb loose from his hand.

Injuries simply happen in football.  It doesn't mean Cam's body is breaking down.  That is just feeding a stupid, media-driven narrative.

Cam is just 30 years old and in phenomenal shape.  He is still very much his prime as a QB.

And even if he has lost half a step, when healthy, he is still very much a running threat.

And his shoulder certainly looked 100% during training camp and the first 2 games.  If his foot is right and he can push off, he should be fine and effective.

This say so much what I have been trying to portray.. people act like Newton just became frail this year and its over...  I could never picture him quitting football if his body allows him to play.

    • I used to think Juan was a Zod alt. Agree he's a great poster.
    • Hawks said nah we good and sent him to the shadow realm aka the Wizards. Cold blooded. I mean they're 2-2 in a series with a young up and coming Knicks team largely through 34 year old CJ McCollum. Even if they ultimately lose the series at least they are there and have something to build on. I think Hornets fans are just beaten down and lack the objectivity to assess the situation. They think we are going to get so much worse if and when we finally change gears. Worse how? We've already been a lottery team for years now. We've already been looking to win our first playoff series in about a quarter century. We already can't get past the play in and in failing to do so we have completely embarrassed ourselves twice looking like we don't even belong. Honestly there is absolutely no excuse for a team like the Magic to be more competitive and successful than us in the playoffs. Absolutely disgusting. But that's just me. I was fuging lit when we got the Hornets back in Charlotte but that is old old news. It's time for these boys to get into a playoff series. Enough is enough. If they can't do it for 2026-27 then they need to make wholesale changes regardless.
    • Not one single pick that is asking me why we drafted a guy in the first place. It was a guy we needed and/or a guy that had certain traits making them stand out. Best of all, I feel everyone we drafted are capable of stepping onto the field this year and have a meaningful role (even Kuwatch on special teams). Obviously, nothing is guaranteed but I'm not seeing any huge flags on guys because they're risky projects or massive overreaches.
