I figured I would start the thread in case @UpstatePanther is having some kind of issues. Maybe he'll accept this thread if/when he comes back.

If you're participating, you know the rules already. Don
't break them and expect any sympathy!

I tallied last weeks picks, and here are the current standings based on UpstatePanther's data he posted prior to week 8.

In case he's logged out already, @FakePlasticTrees posted his picks in the week 8 thread.

Here are my Week 9 picks (I am getting ready to head to the airport)

San Francisco v. Arizona - SF

Houston v. Jacksonville - HOU

Chicago v. Philadelphia - PHI

Minnesota v. Kansas City - MIN

Indianapolis v. Pittsburgh - IND

NYJ v. Miami - NYJ

Washington v. Buffalo - BUF

Tennessee v. Carolina - CAR (40 total points) (Heart over Head)

Detroit v. Oakland - OAK

Tampa Bay v. Seattle - SEA

Green Bay v. LAC - GB

Cleveland v. Denver - CLE

New England v. Baltimore - NE

Dallas v. NYG - DAL (47 total points)

I think I got every game right last week except the bloody Panthers. Ugh! They just suck me in every year (and are then prone to sucking).

Sorry guys. I'm gonna have to bow out. I lost my job the other day to a layoff and have been busy trying to find something to survive on in the meantime. Good luck to everyone this season. If anyone wants my Excel sheet that I've kept track of the score on, I'd be happy to send it. Just DM me your email

Sorry to hear about the job @UpstatePanther hang in there. I think you will find something probably better than your old job!  You checked in the Greenville market? I know Landrum isn't super close to there, or at least in the Greer area.

If you got this @Bronn I think everyone wants to continue trying to beat me.  If you need any help let me know, I can spare some free time.

    • Yes message boards will always include that sort of stuff… However, this place has been a cess pool since the team took Bryce Young over CJ Stroud. It becomes a problem when it is accepted and promoted, which it has been here (even by at least one mod). Many posters sole purpose on this board is to try to dunk on others for having different opinions. We just had one write a novella on how talking about Bryce Young’s game winning drives “needs to stop”…after a win. They don’t want real conversation. It “needs to stop”. There are many posters here who literally only show up after losses to dead thread and try to dunk on others about the QB (MRenshaw is an easy example). I really don’t see much of that happening the other way around. There’s too many people that would rather the team be bad so they can feel justified for constant doom and gloom and negative opinions. It’s been pointed out by many over the past couple years. This just isn’t a place to have football discussions anymore because of the constant hyperbole. If you don’t subscribe to “Bryce Young is the worst QB ever who can’t throw the ball further than 5 yards and is the reason why we lose any game we lose and doesn’t help in any game we win”, then you are labeled a Bryce Young Stan.
    • if you believe he is watching every NFL game.....every week.....go right ahead.  I get it, he said something you like.  But that's like believing the talking heads on the ESPN shows are watching all the games.  You think Stephen A is watching the Panthers every Sunday too?  If Stephen A needs to go on First Take he certainly can pretend like he has watched every snap any player on the roster has taken lol.   No one is that isn't a Panther fan has been watching the 9-25 career go down every Sunday.  Or even a lot of Sunday's.  You know who knows more about Bryce Young than Long? The collective huddle.  What they are reviewing is stat sheets, highlights and in summaries.  It's an old formula lol.
