Kyle Allen and his fumbling issues.

I’ve seen a lot of analysis that Kyle Allen’s fumbling will cost this team down the stretch. I’ve seen people say that it’s an epidemic, although he hasn’t lost a fumble in a month. But, that’s fine. He did have three in one game. That sucks.

You know, I guess they are right. If you fumble the ball in your first year as a starter, you better just go ahead and start looking another gig. It’s like they say: early fumbles from a young quarterbacks can absolutely wreck a career.

Especially if you fumble 36 over your first three years. Hell, that was such an accomplishment, they gave Tom Brady a pair of rings for it.

Yea . . . it sucked.  It also appears that he's worked on it, successfully.  All you can ask of your young players is learn from the mistakes.  KA appears to be doing that.

Is he the long term answer?  Who knows.  Who cares.  He is improving.  At the very least, it appears that we've uncovered a UDFA who can be our backup QB for the next 10 years and we will still have a chance to win games when he plays.

That seems like such a big win I can't even comprehend a single negative about it.

Couldn't agree more. He wasn't drafted. Pretty nice return on investment. I don't know how anyone could be upset with things.

And who knows how he develops. Maybe he's got a lot more upside. Time will tell.

    • Lil Stanky 100% in the dot tonight... And our 2nd line has been our best offensive line this season. Maybe our 2C really was on the roster this whole time...?
    • That’s a grade I kind of expected tbh. I’m not a huge fan of NS, but he’s not as bad as what the huddle says he is minus the horrible game he had vs the Rams. I’ve always thought he’s often used as a scapegoat. The improved pass rush should hide his deficiencies a little bit better if he’s the game one starter. FS might have to be a position we punt on this year unless Thieneman falls to us at 19. The reality is, you're going to have a few average players in certain spots for a team with as many holes we had before free agency started. You can’t sign everyone.
    • I am by no means trying to say he's a world beater. I'm saying it's trending in the right direction. Especially when measured against himself.i think the team feel the same way or else they wouldn't have picked up his option. Plus I think there is a new idea in the NFL about these young QBs. Teams give up to soon. Browns gave up to soon on baker same with the jets on Geno and darnold. Maybe they are who you thought they were in the draft process and they need more time to develop than you originally planned. Either way. I do think he is as capable as darnold is as far as you can win a championship with him. And something he does have that darnold doesn't is he is clutch.  If I need one more drive and 2 mins to go I'm betting on Bryce and I am far from a homer, just going off his game winning drives. He has that dog in him on the last drive.
