Football Outsiders: "Kyle Allen Has The Worst Quarterback Game In The History Of Our Stats"

This is why I don’t trust these “next gen stats” how was Allen’s game worse than everybody from Grossman down to Aikman? Hasselbeck literally went 6/26 for 56 yards and 4 ints and is considered better than 32/50 325 yards 4 ints? Makes no sense whatsoever.

I haven't read their analysis, but from the tweet I assume they're taking into account that the Falcons' DBs have been easily exploitable.

That makes too much sense, but people are enraged nowadays they make themselves look like idiots and are totally unaware.

It would also make sense for said poster, and you, to ignore the posters trashing Cam and cheer for the team that you’re supposedly a fan of. You know, follow his own advice.

Also, why tf are we passing so much early in the game instead of pounding the run with the obvious best player on the team? We've also removed a lot of the creativity from our play calling like the end arounds to DJ and Samuel and have become more traditional. It's really exposed Allen, and beyond that, hurt the team.

Speculation: I don't doubt that Ron/Hurney wanted to try to showcase Allen to make the case that we absolutely have the option to trade Cam. Unfortunately, it's blown up in their face.

They trying to ease cam out the back door . Just like how ron turn red in the face any time cam is brought up . Just like how ron make every excuse when Kyle have a bad game . Just how ron made sure to let the media know cam won’t be around the team on game days . Idk something is up something happened . Ron tryna prove he more than cam which is hilarious .

I just hope they can salvage their season to the point of saving Dan Quinn's job.

Honestly I think they already have, which is great for us. He’s a terrible coach. Quinn will be on the hot seat next year but I think Blank is keeping him at least another year.

I still can’t get over 3 Redzone/Endzone turnovers. I don’t know if I’ve ever seen that. I just know he had room to run on one of them. His accuracy is already questionable according to the standards of some; what he doesn’t need to do is try to throw on the run.

    • It’ll be interesting to see how the board falls I completely agree with you on TE for us The safety from Oregon would be the cherry on top for Evero’s defense/scheme.  If a OL’men is there that you love it would be very hard to pass up. This fan base seems to just see Walker as a stop gap but I wouldn’t be so sure. He’s the same age as Ekwonu. He’s had a much more impressive career arc/progression than Icky has. He’s the better pass protector. As far as I see it if Walker has a good year I’d bring him back over Icky. Ekwonu isn’t some elite franchise LT. Playing next to Lewis is going to be great for Walker much like it has been for Icky. We definitely need to get younger/cheaper on the OL though so for this reason alone it’s still top of my list come round 1 if board falls this way  Could also use another corner with Mike Jackson’s deal up after this season and needing a nickel but Corey Thornton looked really good in that role in the limited time we got to see him. However he’s coming off an achillies injury and you never know with those.  Then as mentioned above we do still have a need at WR. As far as “weapons” go it’s kind of a 2 man show with Tmac and Coker and neither is a burner. If Jordan Tyson is there at 19 and we can have a young WR group locked up for cheap that’s a huge advantage cap wise  And don’t forget linebacker. That clip in Devin’s Lloyd blueprint they used from Evero saying they need more intelligence there could’ve been left out for Wallace’s sake but it’s true. Wallace is lost in coverage. Pair a smart linebacker with Lloyd and that’s a group with Wallace and Cherelus being depth
    • The fact that this is even a discussion is a testament of the level of front office badassery that's going on.
    • Not always. LT was for the Giants. So was Ray Lewis. Von Miller was moreso than Manning his final year in the season that shall not be named. It's usually the QB, but not always.
