They just wrapped up the division and we have a 35% chance of making a wildcard spot if we win out the rest of the season, id say its better to be a Saints fan right "now".  Jesus, you guys are delusional.  I swear to fug all you guys talk about, "Well, next season we will be loaded"...it's a loser mentality that this team seems to always have.  "Yeah, the Saints are good this season but they will be in cap hell for years to come"....the years have come and gone, they are still beating us ( does not matter how the wins come, they are still winning against our team ).  Maybe they haven't won Super bowls but anyone who won't admit they have been one of the better teams in the NFC for at least the last few seasons is out of their minds and nothing but a Panther homer.

They hit jackpot with one draft class and since then they have owned NFC south. Also since then their coach who was ok-good has been promoted to genius and apparently for some panthers fans the grass is greener on the other side.

2013-2016 the saints were kinda sitting where we are currently at and people forget that.

It wasn't one draft class, but two. 2016 -- Michael Thomas, Sheldon Rankins, Von Bell, David Onyemata. All above avg starters. 2017 we all know landed the Saints a cornerstone RT, CB, RB and starting FS. Almost a complete roster turnover between two drafts and some probowl caliber FA pieces like Demario Davis and Larry Warford.

Find the guy responsible for drafting those guys and hire him as GM.

Hint: it ain't Loomis.

I think I've heard of him.

If you read the other thread though, you know that likely also means Dan Campbell is your new head coach.

Wouldn't hate it.

Would probably be want to hire an aggressive OC out of the college ranks, especially one that knows the limitations of the OL coming out of college and can work with it (ie, get the ball out quicker).

Ok, gratz to the Saints for doing what we could not.. *that was hard to admit*.. so to wash the taste of that out of my mouth.. I had to watch this to remember what drive and desire to win looks like in this conference.

Much appreciated, Bip!

That definitely was a fun year. Side note, a few months ago I almost bought that very jersey Roman Harper was wearing when that melee occurred.

Unfortunately, winning the NFCS the last two seasons is rather feint praise.  It has taken slightly more effort than New England's yearly march to the AFCE.  While the Saints have been good, that has been completely optional to win the division.

C’mon now, man. “Optional to win the division”? It’s not like we’re winning the division with a losing record or at 7-9.

This poster knows. I appreciate you typing that out to save me from having to do it. You the real MVP.

Hint: y’all won’t get him because we’ll more than likely just create a new executive position for Loomis and bump Ireland up to “official” GM.
