Greg Little Doubtful Sunday...we need another LT of the future.

Our new coach/gm is really going to need to strategize on how we are going to build this team for the future. We have the second most dead cap going into next year, overpaid vets who are not performing to the level of pay, a million free agents (many who are starters for us) and issues at the most important areas on the team (QB, O line, DT, DE).

I didn't like the Little pick and hated the trade up, but I haven't completely given up on him just yet. The reality though is that he has never lived up to his prodigious hype coming out of HS and has always had a lot of issues with consistency. He was dropping prior to the Combine and I honestly thought his Combine would've tanked him. He was subpar in every category. It sure seemed like that prodigious talent was a pure myth after that. And don't bring up Orlando Brown's terrible Combine in comparison. Brown was a MUCH better college OT than Little was.

From the combine, it wasn’t just technical. He was on the opposite side of the spectrum from Burns in terms of hustle, effort and fluidity. If you loved Burns then it’s almost crazy that you would love Little.

I've said it more than once, Little was dropping down most draft boards.  About this time last year some draft sites had him as one of the top LT prospects and as the All-star game/Combine happened, he started to slide fast.  What does Marty do?  'Wow, Little is sliding down everyone's draft board so I'm going to get a steal...heck even trade up, just in case this is one big smokescreen!

He knocked that draft out of the park, Greg Hardy was the only worth anything and he became a nutcase. It did set us up to draft Cam the following year though so there is that...
