Hat tip (and well wishes) to Greg Olsen

Mr. Reliable played his ass off today.

He broke two tackles and carried a defender for a first down we absolutely wouldn’t have otherwise gotten. On a third and 17 he catches a 10-yard pass and does everything he can, including taking a hit to the head from a piece of poo Redskins player, in his all-out effort to get a first.

1) I hope Greg is OK.
2) I hope he doesn’t go out like this.
3) In the event that’s it, damn man. Thank you for everything.

I would add this in the same vein...

I know we complain about Marty stuffing the IR, but if he were to put Olsen on injured reserve tomorrow I'd have no issue with it.

Just b/c Hurney actually puts a guy that should go on IR on IR, even I won't call that stuffing the IR.  He's still gonna stuff it, but an injured player is an injured player.  I can call it straight when necessary.

I didn't see the game but saw "highlights" of it including this hit. Ryan Anderson definitely deserves to get suspended for a game or two for that intentional hit. Made me sick to see Olsen instantly fall the way he did. Greg's leadership over the years, even during losing seasons, has been tremendous and I'd really hate to see him go out this way.

I hate to see him go out like this too, but I think the "Hollywood ending" ship has sailed.

Sad to say that's true for any veteran who's not coming back next year, and I feel like there's a few of them.

Also I wish TD wound up with a better team in the AFC... Baltimore or Houston, KC, etc. (not the Pats). Too bad he won’t even get a shot at the playoffs this year, he deserves a ring as much as any active player who doesn’t have one, right up there with Fitzgerald.

    • 5 straight completions in the 4th quarter to get into the red zone and then score a stand up rushing TD and celly in one of the best defenses faces to bring the score within 1 possession against the super bowl champs is "stunned" to you?
    • yes, if you read what I said - that was due to his record breaking 245 yard 4th quarter performance in garbage time when the Seahawks were already celebrating. If Bryce puts up big numbers in the 4th quarter, people like you are quick to call it garbage time stats but seem to get selective when other QB's do it because it doesn't fit your narrative.  also, I'm logical enough to admit that Drake is a great QB and his performance had a lot to do with his protection, play calling, and other aspects. The game does not fall completely on the QB. Just like how the Panthers were still in the game vs Seattle until Horn's penalty changed that. It is a team sport, so many factors, players, refs, coaches are involved and it only takes one thing to change the game. the obsession with Bryce is just nauseating at this point and if you pay attention on here, it's the same 10 users quoting and pieing each other. it's super weird and everywhere else you go, opinions on Bryce are trending upwards. the way the season ended, the vibe at the stadium, the performance, should have everyone excited about this next season. Idk, maybe I just look at life and my entertainment outlets differently than others.
    • Are we sure something hasnt happened to him because that seems pretty shitty to simply abandon this place
