Eh....it's probably just a matter of time, TBH. This is either a transitional thing or, as was alluded to, he's gonna be on a pretty short leash. Nothing about what has transpired strikes me as a "vote of confidence" in Marty Hurney.

The one thing I feel fairly certain on is that the overall personnel department is going to be majorly reorganized, and expanded.

Kinda doubt that particular task gets entrusted to Marty.

I think Hurney is staying in a transitional capacity because the awfulness of this team CLEARLY lies with the weekly coaching and preparation (Ron), way more so than the personnel (Marty). He will be gone soon enough, but maybe Tepper keeps him around until after the first round of the draft.

He is qualified for other positions with the team, just not GM. 

Tepper bought time with the Firing of Ron. Now he needs to show us his plan, which as Scott has said multiple times, could take up to after the draft. I mean, if you wanted a figurehead with no power to run someone else's agenda, Hurney is your guy.

I have not been disappointed with Hurney 2.0 -- some moves we'd like back sure, but IMO no damning issues this time around. Which is crazy to think, not a person here hated this off-season given what we had to work with financially.

Tepper looking dumber by the day.  This radio dj that no one even interviewed when he left the first time is retained for what reason?  If he really is a figurehead so that Tepper can meddle, the franchise is in terrible hands
