Object Lesson: An Empty Trophy Case

Hell yea.

And Scott it doesn't sting really it's just the truth. It's all been out and about for awhile now. We had a poo owner who knew jack poo about how to win in this league who hired yes men and was a cheap POS. Hard to fill trophy cases like that.

At least now you can tell the owner actually fuging wants to win and isn't shy about saying it. Here is the goal...normal business display type of thing really. Although not an actual case usually...more abstract and on slides and poo.

Oh, I think it stings a little, and I think it's meant to.

I'd actually consider it a pretty good motivational tactic.

I approve.  Remind everyone, every day of what the goal is.

Listen, we've been close in the past.  We've made it to the big dance twice in our 25 year history and lost both.  Imagine being the Buffalo Bills and losing FOUR STRAIGHT TIMES in that game.  It ruined that franchise for decades.

What we lack is consistency.  To me that says we are in the playoffs most years and rarely have non-winning seasons.  That's acceptable since once you are in the playoffs anything can happen.

15-1 means nothing. even if the NFL wants Peyton Manning to win another Superbowl. Cuz we can't have slow poke Eli with more Superbowl wins than bigger head brother., even with beating The Patriots.  Nope. The Panthers are still paper panthers.

this is multiverse sh!t right here.

I mean, if you walked in every day saying something like "hey guys, remember that championship trophy you don't have?!" you'd probably annoy people and they'd think you were a douche.

However, by putting this trophy case there, Tepper can effectively say that without having actually say it.

You get the motivational factor without the douchebag factor.

    • Winning games and be a +500 team are good. But the goal is to win Super Bowl.  Chiefs had Alex Smith, went to playoff twice and still replaced him.   BY as of now: - To many fumbles - Completion in the intermediate range is just far below acceptable - Not enough of a deep throw threat....   The stats you try use is deceiving.  Catchable......  That is an opinion. Show me the completion %. And also, how does BY compare to other QBs using the stats you cited. Oh... ranked at 27
    • Your intelligence is artificial.
    • The Entitlement Paradox: When Winning Isn't Enough for Panther fans.    Just the other season(s) we were praying for wins by any means. Brought in every run of the mill QB you could think of.  We know all sides of the ball was bad like egregious bad. However some how we have won 5 games and TOXIC ENTITLEMENT has emerged.    We are a team that has to take wins by anymeans nothing has changed. Keep pounding means it aint gonna be perfect!!    Some panther fans have now developed a toxic entitlement where even victories feel insufficient, demanding flawless performance, or perfection, which stems from historical success in which we dont have any lol. This mindset poisons communities by fostering relentless criticism, harassment, and ingratitude that undermine team morale and alienate casual supporters. For the new Carolina Panthers, this could manifest as fans booing Bryce Young after gritty wins for low passing yards despite low turnovers, pressuring tepper into premature changes mid-rebuild, or driving away talent through online abuse!! eroding the positive momentum from their recent 4-game streak has brought us. Trust and believe the players do see your toxicity.    Anyways here are some positive stats.      Most Accurate QB on... 20+ Yard Throws 1. Drake Maye (79.2%) 2. Sam Darnold (79.2%) 3. Bryce Young (75.0%) 10-19 Yard Throws 1. Jaxson Dart (88.0%) 2. Jayden Daniels (82.9%) 3. Drake Maye (80.7%) 0-9 Yard Throws 1. Drake Maye (92.9%) 2. Spencer Rattler (92.6%) 3. Bryce Young (91.7%) @FantasyPtsData
