I’m not concerned one bit with how it concerns the Panthers. I want Cam healthy with a team that doesn’t need a complete rebuild. Specifically behind that OL. Just time to move on for him.

Cam knows he won’t be in Carolina next season just like Ron knew weeks  ago he wouldn’t be.

Ask yourself why this didn't happen a month ago.

I’m starting to buy into these notions that Cam should be held partly responsible for his health and that he’s extremely hesitant to do surgery even when it’s clearly the right thing to do and what all doctors suggest. Nothing else explains the delayed surgeries now and on his shoulder twice.

might honestly be the worst post in the history of this board

Why would a fan of “Cam” first, something I’ve always said I was, want him to come back and play for this team, in their current shape? Make that case and convince me if this post is so bad. Tell me about why. Did you think I was taking a shot at Cam?

He’s trying to imply Cam as doing this to get traded or released. Remember no one actually knows discussions between Tepper and Cam at all but all these “insiders” will jump on whatever bandwagon gets the most views/clicks

It's his fault we ran him into the ground using him as a battering ram his whole career? Even two years ago he was our leading rusher for the season. Now you want to vilify the guy over surgery? Oh but you want a successful franchise so badly and think you deserve that right?

Few of us keep track of posters thoughts and feelings on players. So I did think you held negative opinions of Cam.

I’m not vilifying him at all but we’ve seen plenty of reports about Cam not wanting to do surgery and opting for other methods of healing instead, then when that doesn’t work and he isn’t healthy he does the surgery anyways much later. I’m not a fan of how we used him in the run game but frankly all of his major injuries came on hits in the pocket that were clean regular hits that QBs take (his concussion from dirty headshots against the Broncos aside—I don’t think he missed time due to that). Yes our OL has been partly to blame but there are other teams with just as bad OL that don’t have QB injuries. I’d say it’s just bad luck and then possibly the wrong response from Cam in regards to the recovery process...

I have no ill will towards Cam and the way he goes about treatment on his own body,  if those reports about avoiding surgery are true. Those types of decisions may help him down the line in life, but they may not have been the best choices for staying healthy on the football field...

at this point I don’t even know what we’re gonna do. You release him after surgery he heals up nicely you look like a fuging idiot when we have no franchise qb. You let him heal and his injuries are too much to overcome and you look like a fuging idiot.

If we draft a qb with our first rounder the writing will be on the wall. If we don’t then I think cam stays for a year.

then the question comes up does he even want to play for this team. There are so many variables.

Understand. It was vague. And since I don’t discuss Cam(good or bad...huge bias) how could you? I think many others did too.

I don't think keeping him for one year, the first under a new coach, makes anyone look like an idiot. Even with that cap number.

    • If you need someone to run your multi-billion dollar business, maaayyyybe don't hire a guy whose previous work experience includes repeated blows to the head and literal brain damage but IDK.
    • Extrapolate that with every QB for that matter. I guarantee you there's quite a bit of missed opportunities and yards left on the field for everyone. Many NFL QBs deal with WRs not putting in A+ effort, subpar o-line play and other deficiencies. The great ones are able to rise above these issues and create opportunities for plays. Guys like Josh Allen and Patrick Mahomes can both play in and out of structure, as well as find ways to get yards when things break down and mask mistakes by throwing guys open, creating opportunities from nothing, etc. Bryce Young has only shown he's able to make things happen when the rest of the team picks up his slack. Very rarely does he create those opportunities himself. When this is a consistent pattern year after year with Bryce where he shows up lackluster, it's a concern. This is year three and he should be elevating the team as a first overall pick this franchise traded up for.  He was far from elevating anyone against JAX. In fact, he needed others to elevate and create for him. Excuses may be fine for a rookie, but this is year three for the first overall pick. Not looking good so far.
    • I think the worst issue is coaching. Countless bad snaps, XL not getting his feet in or trying on runs plays, our centre being down field when he didn't need to be. All seem to be from poor coaching for me. I believe Canales is to soft to rip the players a new one when the fug up. Plus I honestly believe that Canales is slow getting his plays in giving Bryce less time to diagnose and adjust to the defence. Don't worry I could of head butted Bryce for that fumble and the 4th down throw aways but the other plays are explainable to me
