New Era: Uniform Redesign Time?

With the 2010's decade coming to an end, coinciding with the end of the Ron Rivera and possibly the Cam Newton era for the Carolina Panthers, is it time for a uniform re-design? 

Teams often redo their uniforms when the team transitions to a new era. The Atlanta Falcons for example redid their uniforms shortly a season or two after Michael Vick was drafted. The Chargers redid theirs after Philip Rivers arrived. The Jets just redid theirs a season after Sam Darnold was drafted. The list goes on and on.

Aside from some minor tweaks and color combinations, the Panthers haven't made any major changes to the uniforms since the team was created in 1995. The logo and team font was "refreshed" in 2012, which made sense given Cam Newton was just beginning his run with the team.

But now, I have to think it is a good time to give the Panthers a new look, under new ownership, going into a new decade. I wouldn't be surprised if we see a whole new look in the next couple of years, especially if the team drafts an exciting young QB.

I just pray they don't go overboard with some new trendy "cool" style that will be outdated in no time.

It all depends on your personal taste, but I’m not a fan of changing the uniforms. They’re pretty traditional looking, and I’m afraid to even think about what the prototype would look like.

Yep, I could see Tepper going with a uni re-design to begin the Joe Burrow era in Carolina.

Im all for a redesign, whatever takes the attn off of gameplay, even if it’s for 10 seconds..
