NASCAR isn't a sport, but its much more entertaining than soccer, at least in person.

George Carlin had a great routine way back in the day about sports in which he said the only 3 real sports were baseball, basketball and football. Everything else is a game or activity.  He said Americans were looking for lots of fast paced scoring and violence in their sports and suggested ways to improve the 3 sports along those lines such as random land mines in the outfield in baseball, a gasoline fire for ten feet on either side of mid court in basketball, and leaving the injured on the field in football.

He then proceeded to give hilarious reasons why everything else wasn’t a sport. NASCAR wasn’t a sport because driving 500 miles in a circle doesn’t impress him. Soccer isn’t a sport cause you can’t use your hands. Tap dancing isn’t a sport, same thing.

Damn I miss George Carlin.

So one thing to keep in mind is that for soccer clubs, the nickname is often more organic and not a part of the official name.  Like Chelsea being the Blues, Leicester City as the foxes, or Bournemouth being the Cherries (that one is awesome).

So, in short, we could be Charlotte FC or Carolina FC, and can nickname the team the Reapers. Totally possible.

As boring of a sport soccer is, and as big of a group of pussies soccer players are - NASCAR is easily the worst “sport” and it’s drivers make soccer players look like Mike Tyson.

What a pussy right?

Soccer players are some of the best pound for pound athletes in the world. Anyone who dismisses their strength and athleticism is compensating a huge insecurity. NASCAR also takes a certain level of endurance that other athletes from other sports can’t match. Don’t get why people are so scared about stuff they don’t know about. I personally don’t care much for soccer and have have never watched NASCAR race but I can respect any profesional athlete for the work they put into their craft.

There’s no way the Coca Cola 600, while sitting there from 5pm to 12am watching a car drive around a track for 600 laps in person is more entertaining than a soccer match

I've played many different sports over the years and soccer, pound for pound, are the some of the most fit athletes in the world.  I scoff when people mention baseball players as real athletes.  Baseball is mainly about hand-eye coordination.  Most of these "athletes" are completely winded trying to run out a grounder to first base.  What 90 feet and bent over gasping for air?  Give me a break.

Smells like inbred hick in here.

Queen City FC is the only choice, though Charlotte AFC works.

Oh, and soccer and basketball players are easily the better athletes. Baseball players get to sit in the dugout and stand around in the field. Football players spend half the game on the sideline on a bench. O-linemen couldn't even make it to first base.
