Hell, none of these guys ever punched anybody out.

There was that one guy who did, but he still stuck around.

If you can get past that, I imagine you can get past "f*** you".

Two people, actually. He might be a nutcase, but Smitty is still my all time favorite Panther.

Wonder if Allen's sideline attitude yesterday affected this.

Late to the party, but I think it does.  I think Allen is shot this season.  He's had the highs, and now he's hitting the lows.  It seems as if nothing will go right for the team, and he's mentally beaten.  Not ruined, but he's just down.  May as well pull him and see what Will has for a little bit here.

i haven't seen a qb with a more deer in the headlights, terrified look in his eyes than grier in preseason.  it was clausen-esque.   some of y'all looked at allen and thought that dude sucks.  that's how i felt about seeing grier.  he sucks and he's always gonna suck.  no qb with that look in his eyes is ever gonna be anything. i think the move is to guarantee losses in the last 2 games.    that's how i feel about him.   i didn't mind us drafting him, but now it seems like a wasted pick.  if he balls out, specially if he ends up having a great connection with samuel, my plate of crow will be large.

Yea, he can’t do that.

In my years being a Panthers fan, I don’t think I’ve ever seen a Panther QB blow off another teammate like that. Definitely some character concerns, and red flags going up.

Uh it most certainly has happened with Cam. And it happens even more with QBs around the league. Particularly elite QBs. They’re competitions and there will be tension. It’s not at all character concerning or a red flag in my book.

His awful play on the other hand is a big red flag.

Well I shouldn’t say awful. I never expected undrafted 20 year old Allen to be anything special. And I am not sure why anyone else did either but regardless he will make a very decent back up. And he’ll have to learn to be OK with that.

Yeah but you get to find that out for sure. Worst case scenario is, your opinion was completely wrong and he's good. Best case, you are validated in your opinion, we suck, lose and get better draft position.

There was a kid who grew up idolizing Dan Marino that got drafted in the NFL and had the chance to play against him.

After watching the way Marino behaved on field, he didn't admire him anymore.

And heaven knows we've all seen what happens when Tom Brady gets pissed off. He's been known to rip the hell out of his own teammates too.

We're definitely not the only ones reading the tea leaves.

I think anyone could pick up on Fewell basically telling on himself during that interview. I'd say 95% chance Grier is the starter. Furthermore, I think they already know he will be and no evaluation is going to happen at all.

I think if you were to check the English to Coachspeak dictionary, it'd translate "we're going to evaluate this" to "we just don't want to announce it yet".
