Dan Morgan for GM?

Would be an interesting choice but a gamble. He was a badass MLB though

Waited on Morgan and his wife back in the day on numerous occasions. They were super down to earth and you would never know he was a millionaire.  Also his dad used to be one of Marino’s bodyguards and is bigger than he is.

Now that is an interesting idea. Definitely a riskier hire, for sure. Much more of a gamble than some of the names that have been mentioned.

I would prefer him in a support role like an assistant but he does have a good background.

Did they mention any other "outside the box" names or was it pretty much the guys that have been discussed ad nauseam?

Why is he riskier? He has real NFL experience and is working his way up the ladder. Just wondering.

2nd year personal director to GM?  Seems like quite a jump but would love to have him in the front office.

It's just very early in his career to make that move, IMO. But, nothing ventured, nothing gained, I suppose.

Jason La Canfora speculated that he might have "a front office role" with the Panthers but he might not be ready to be a GM just yet.

Also mentioned Bills OC Brian Daboll as someone "definitely getting looked at" for the head coaching spot. His Patriots background helps as Tepper is very much enamored with all things Patriots right now.

John Lynch is doing pretty well in SF and he had less experience than Morgan when he was hired.

Seems like a perfect candidate to groom in a "GM in waiting" role behind Kevin Colbert for a few years. Kinda like we had planned with Beane/Gettleman but then horribly botched it.

I remember him getting pretty upset when he posted in here for a while. Can't blame him though. People were being pretty douchey with him.
