After almost a decade he didn't really change anything long-term.  We still have a overall losing team record, Rivera didn't win a Super Bowl, didn't get back to back winning seasons. He caught lightning in a bottle in 2013 and 2015 and beyond that never amounted to much.

Ron is average so he is equal or better than 15 current head coaches.  He will be fine on a team rebuilding with a top 5 draft pick.

I see in him a perennial middling coach for whichever team is blind enough to hire him. Nine years is enough of a sample size to determine that if he has any personnel or staff input the only direction is a slow downward spiral into mediocrity.
