"Panthers have the least attractive opening"

Lack of clarity at QB is not necessarily a downside for some coaches, and we don't know what Tepper tells people in the interview.  I am sure that QB comes up.  Some may see the lack of a Daniel Jones or a Baker Mayfield as a downside... others may see it as benefit to get their guy in.  This is of course depending on what Tepper tells candidates about Cam...

If we are less attractive the the Browns, why do we even exist? I mean -- that's a depressing thought right there that a dumpster fire looks better than Carolina...

We are absolutely less attractive than the Browns.  Without question.

Usually you are looking at a few things when considering what HC job to take.

Ownership.  We have no idea what to expect here, and neither will the coaches we bring in.  Things don't look good IMO, but could change.

History.  Are you a fabled franchise or a small market up and comer.  I think we know what we are.

Roster.  Ours is in shambles.  Above average talent we have here signed long term?  Very little.

QB.  Terrible spot right now.

Location.  Good, not great.  Could be attractive to some, and a turn off to others.

So yea, we are in last place so far.

He’s not wrong.

honestly, we need to really think about 2 To 3 years down the road., Go get a young offensive mind and unload some of the assets we do have (unfortunately, Luke will fetch the greatest prize).  CMC, Moore and Shaq are probably the only untouchables right now.

Use FA this year and next year to rebuild the defense and draft the best offensive linemen in the first two rounds this year and tank 2020 completely to get a shot at Lawrence or Fields.

that way we put a rookie QB under center in 2021 behind what should be a rock solid offensive line and a young but getting better defense.

ideally, we’d likely be contending for the division in 2021 and hopefully be and nfc contender by 2021.

    • I didn't move the goal posts. But anyone who follows football who wants to engage in a rational discussion can't argue that 10 7th round picks are equal to 10 1st rounders in value. The argument has always been we haven't spent as much on defense has we have on offense. Draft picks have value just like salary. We have not spent the same amount of draft pick salary cap on defense that we have on offense since drafting Bryce. It's not even close. Just the 2 1sts we used on Bryce, 2 overall 1sts have a value of 6000. That doesn’t even factor in DJ Moore or the 2 2nds. Bryce cost more than everything we've spent on defense in 6 damn years.
    • We need to hope this scenario plays our next week he fails with pressure…what that means with Evero, is beyond me
    • Woukd be a great addition You know the issues from my prespective, 2 things the Panthers must do 1. Edge or pass rushers or 2 oline or 3 oline or as Andy Reid says, when in doubt, draft a lineman it is time   That oline is troubling plus a small person at QB  they   1. Can do a lot better than mayes at center, 2. and lewis has had injuries all season. 3. Moton should not have  been resigned long term, 4. corbett is a shadow and will probably be released  5 and Christianson coming off Achilles   6 and the kicker, would be Ickey’s contract if they decide to keep him INMO rookie and contracts will be needed to offset all that
