  • Cameron Jerrell Newton won the MVP in 2015 with a supporting cast that consisted of Ted Ginn, Philly Brown, Jericho Cotchery, and rookie Devin Funchess as his WRs
  • He took a core of worse scrub WRs to the playoffs in 2017
  • Was having his best season ever before injuring his shoulder in 2018

I dont want us to forget how good this guy is. He's not just some scrub in a funny hat and glasses serving thanksgiving dinners. He's a National College Champion, Hiesmann winner, Rookie of the Year, MVP with 182 passing touchdowns and 58 rushing touchdowns.

All we need to fuging do is get this man an Oline and shore up the Dline to help him stay healthy, and get some coaches that make them play to 110% of their ability. #

There's a reason why his nickname is "Superman"

I don’t have words for how much I miss that guy and I don’t want my last memory to be that Tampa game that was like a funeral at BofA

i don’t know what ‘healthy’ is defined as but I would take a mobile Cam whose shoulder is 79% over almost or that I’ve seen in college 

he was athletic greatness playing QB, best player on the field always. I’ll take good if that’s all that is left.

tbh I thought it was bizzare that a prime athelete would go vegan when a lot of his game is so physical. He probably would benefit from getting a lot more protein and calories , he lost a poo ton of weight last offseason.

I've not forgotten, and I hope Cam comes back to that form - or even maintains early 2018 form all year.

But it is hard to ignore the injuries the last few years.  Hopefully the time totally away from playing has given him time to recover and come back strong next year.

      Sounds encouraging.  I agree about the LB....I was CERTAIN second round would be a LB.  I would also like to add that, on paper, DL looked solid--but only 1 performed well in 2025 (2 if you count Robinson, who is now gone).  I am guessing they feel that the LB play will improve with the improvement up front--logical.  Remember the old rule (not sure who said it first) "You build from the inside out, front to back."   We drafted, in my early opinion, a starting NT and C this year.  inside out, front to back.

      Agree--I think a mid-level tackle but he could prove to be an elite G--not sure how he would do at RT--or maybe Freeling---lotta moving parts--but I would look at him at G if mid-level T is his ceiling--he has been improving, but the injury..

      Worked an event that many players were at including Ickey. Talked to him, looks and walks around good/normal. Taylor Moton released a new Tequila with his partner Matt Kahlil. Taylor looks great and is psyched for the season. He's such a good guy. Even Derrick Brown, very focused. It's like a quiet, calm I'm gonna rip through you confidence. Building his forever home and sticking around CLT. Bryce stopped in, but was upbuilding talking to the guys, not drinking, smoking cigars like others. There was little different aura with them, almost a quiet confidence, some fun. Reminded me of the 2013-2018 era. Had an event Tuesday with TD (he was there last night too) and he thinks the team looks real good, maybe just needs an another LB. He loves the Devin Lloyd pick up.  No negative comments, just giving a nice update on some players.
