Not in the least excited about this guy at the NFL level.

I’ll give him benefit of the doubt but this doesn’t look like a great move. Looks like Ruhle is loading up his staff with his friends and “yes” men. I’m just glad Eric Washington is gone.

I think one thing commonly missed in all of the hand-wringing over college coaches in the pros is to remember that this is going to be a rebuild. It will be difficult to attract top flight free agents (as well as retaining players coming up on contract years that are looking to maximize their income or win now). As a result, we're going to need teachers. Having college coaches that have to get a ton of information crammed between their players' ears in a limited amount of time might end up being a good thing for these young men being brought in to fill out the roster.

Remaining Text: He’ll blitz you from every which direction. He’s similar to coach Rhule. He’s passionate and real intense. He’ll get the best out of his players. He knows what he’s doing and he’s had success everywhere he’s been.’’

That's how I'm going to look after an entire off-season of whining on this forum about why we didn't hire this coach or that coach, or sign this FA or draft that guy. It's going to be miserable until August.

    • Well, hope they're not worried about a torn Labrum or Rotator Cuff, as someone who went through that myself, I know those don't have anything show up on X-Rays but from the MRI, so this is kinda a nothing update, hope it's not a tear or his season is already over if they decide to do surgery now. Which is basically what would be needed to get him to 100% for the start of next season's training camp if it's a labrum.  If he plays the season with it and then does surgery, he's not going to be ready for camp and probably not the start of the season either.
    • I always try to not pay much attention to a team’s preseason win/loss record. The 1982 Washington and 2021 LA Rams both lost every game in the preseason and went on to win the Super Bowl, whereas the 2008 Detroit Lions and 2017 Cleveland Browns both won every game in reason and went on to lose every regular season game. There’s many examples of teams that lose in preseason that go on to have good seasons, but equally there are teams that lose in preseason and that continues in the regular season. Which will we be?  I think our floor is a handful of wins, while our ceiling will probably be around the 9-10 win mark. The latter will require significant improvement from the whole team and coaching staff, and will also need Bryce to play like the QB we drafted him to be. I want to be optimistic and predict a winning season, but it’s really difficult as a Panthers fan!
    • Cos he looks much better?
