Could you go without NFL football for two years?

Ya, I’m a union guy. I get ask for a dollar so you get .25 cents. What he’s asking from this players is give up millions upon millions to get .25 cents. You’d think they’ll realize he’s fighting this for himself.

I wonder if i would remember it after 2 years? It would be an epicly stupid thing for both sides to have happen. That is a long time to find other things to do that could suplant the NFL. I guess people who watch the NCAA would have an alternative but I don't and won't.

There will be crazy crap said, stances made and at the end of the day if they don't find a deal then both sides lose epicly. The real presure will come from lost money and everything else is secondary and negotiable. Both sides will pander to the fans and yet those ticket prices will keep going up and up.

There's no way the XFL could pay anything close to NFL salaries, but for some guys they'd be way better than nothing.

And for those NFL players who aren't making a butt-load of money, if this is the only game in town, that's where they would head.

I don't think the NFL OR the NFLPA want to see the XFL fill the void. That would be VERY costly.

5 years ago I would have said that it would really be a bummer....now?  Nah, I could find a plethora of things to fill my time....probably help me to drink a little less anyways.  My Sunday consumption has risen steadily since 2016.

But if it does, we still have NCAA football to watch. App State football wins helps me balance evenly with Panther losses.

I find it hard to believe the players would back 2 years away from football. There would be plenty that would end their careers on strike. But, yeah I'd be okay with no football for 2 seasons.

Owners have much more leverage, but I wouldn't mind missing NFL for 2 years.

With all the controversy already surrounding the league with rogue players' behaviors/legal issues, I could miss it... no problem. I already sat out two years due to that. Just this season I have resumed watching occasionally. A strike will permanently kill my briefly resurrected interest.
