I’m about to get drunk all weekend too.  Have a bar near the stadium and from the panthers employees that come in for drinks seems like kicking out Cam is happening really soon.   We also had a theory over beers that Chris McLain from WFNZ who has done a 360 on Cam and leading the charge to get him out has been paid by the Tepper camp to push the narrative of starting over without Cam is the best way.

Still don’t get why not let him play out this year and see if he’s healthy.  If he is you extend him or trade him for lot of picks if the coach wants his own QB.   If he’s not then you tank this season with him on bench and start Grier and go for Lawrence or Fields in draft.   That 19 million won’t be used anyways this year in rebuilding year.

If Tepper thinks moving on from Cam is the best thing, so be it. But you have to show more for it than the likes of Kyle Allen and Will Grier that's for damn sure. Just because we have a handsome running back doesn't mean people are going to keep blindly cheering for the worst team in the division.

"The first tight end ever to have BACK to BACK to BACK 3,000 yards."

*Note -- Cam meant to say Olsen is the first to have 3 seasons with 1,000 receiving yards.

They don't realize that Cam was saying "the first tight end ever to have back to back to back three 1000-yards."

This seems to go right over your head

Then what?  Rebuild with a 32-year old running QB with accuracy issues making $30m?  They might keep him for one season--while grooming a QB---but even if he plays well, he would be traded, in all likelihood. I think they are looking for a new era--a new face.  If you think Cam's best years are ahead of him, raise his salary 50% at 32.   If you think he is starting to decline, do not raise his salary 50%.

The owner doesn't care whether we cheer next season or not as long as we're around for the glory years in 3-5 seasons!!!!!!!!!

    • Holy poo... we have allowed the fewest goals in the playoffs, total. Including the teams that lost in the first round... lmao
    • It was nothing. It was a nice run in an easy schedule that did nothing but lose us DJ Moore and a lot more. We were 2-15 in 2023. Based on your logic, that winning finish should have been a launching point. For as much as you want to say we shouldn’t have taken a risk, you still can’t admit that the plans we tankers laid out were proven correct. There’s no revisionist history. We said we should have traded Burns to the Rams. We said we should have sold off anything not bolted down like Brown and Horn and even Icky because they were in the 5 year plan. There is no disconnect, we tried to keep winning and draft a rookie QB and we lost about 4 1st round picks of value that could have been given to the guys you think might be the right crew.
    • You’re assuming Fitt still gets fired at the same time. That’s the problem with all these hypothetical hindsight thoughts. If we had a fire sale so to speak I’m not sure the GM gets fired a year or two later due to a bad roster and bad record. Fitt went into win now mode, made it seem like we were only a QB away “we won’t drafting this high again” trading picks for vets etc and when he couldn’t show results he was fired. I’m sure this was all mentioned in his GM interviews. What’s his plan to turn us around and how quickly can he do it. Also you want last year’s CMC and Burns on our roster? At their price? Moving on from both was the right call, with Burns being the wrong time. If a team does a full roster strip down rebuild it can buy the GM more time as long as everyone is on the same page.
