If I had to put odds on my chances of still being a Panthers fan in 2-3 years, I can't say they'd be higher than 50/50.

It may take another Julius Peppers moment to get me back in the fold of things blow up like it looks as if they may.

And you’re a moderator on a Panthers fan board?  Come on man...go to Saints Report and apply there.

Why? Did you stop being a fan in 2010 and then jump back on in 2011 after Cam started off well? Our team is pretty bad right now. Did you really enjoy the 1-15 we went in the second halves of the last two years so much that now you’re thinking about jumping back off until we draft a great player?

Agreed 1000%.  Ridiculous for a “fab”, let alone a mod, to post this.

Crazy to think, but I think many fans are feeling that way.  I overheard 2 season ticket holders talking the other day and both said they can’t see themselves being as enthusiastic or even keeping their season tickets 2 or 3 years down the road.  Both of these guys looked to be in their 30’s so it shocked me to hear that coming from them.

People can’t even recall the past 5 minutes nowadays. 2015 is so far away it might as well be 1915. We’ve got two total rebuilds in 2001 and 2010 and people are shocked and dismayed that we’ll start another one in 2020? It’s like the Super Bowl. Running game and defense was the hot topic until 6 minutes left in the SB. It’s shocking how people can literally only think in the now and act like 6 minutes ago didn’t exist and somehow didn’t work because Shanahan pulled another choke out of his bag.

Hey, if you want to get a CMC signed jersey, this training camp is the one to check out because it’ll be dead.

Nope. I wasn't a fan until we drafted Peppers. There was just nothing there to pull me in before that. I honestly couldn't care less about Charlotte. I was just a general NFL fan previously following favorite players and former Tar Heels. Drafting Peppers got me onboard.

I've lived in CO for 13 years now and have stayed very loyal to my NC teams, but if the team goes through a total overhaul? Yeah, I don't know. Honestly, I might be out. We might have to draft Sam Howell to get me back. LOL!

Will the Panthers still be the Panthers if virtually the entire organization gets overhauled?

If I bailed on the Panthers it wouldn't be to adopt another team. I'd just go back to being a general NFL fan watching interesting matchups like I did pre-Peppers.

This is stupid. It sounds like he’s gna trade him. “If he’s healthy” well  you can’t get much for an injured player in a trade so what do you do if he’s not healthy. If we were to keep him if he’s healthy he’d say something along those lines. I hope he stays I do, but being non committal is not wise.

That's classic Hurney. After the 1st round, he has always swung for the fences. That's why his draft track record after the 1st is pretty much a bunch of busts with a few home runs. There aren't enough base hits in there to build a roster and that's why we've never had consistent success under him.
