I am.

It sucks.

Ya, if they do that they might as well move to an NHL type format and just go 8 teams per conference, why 7?

Why the fug are people so intent on incessantly changing everything all the fuging time. Outside of safety rules, QUIT fuging WITH THE GAME.

The 8-8 team might get in, but the seeding would have them #7, going against #2 in Rd 1.

Not if they are a division winner, which is usually what an 8-8 team has to be to get in (that may change). Haven't seen anything about the seeding changing. I'd just assume one more WC team to the next best non-division winner and the #2 seed doesn't have a bye.

this happens and you have more John Fox' and Ron Rivera's staying at HC around the league. Little opportunity for new coaches to come in. Imagine those mediocre coaches staying with us for  3-5 more years because they made the playoffs with an even or losing record and bounced in the first round.

Its  all Money for the Owner and fun for the fans until the first 14-2 team as to play in the first round and loses to a 7-9 7th seed

then watch those fans and owners complain about a playoff format they didn't want

Interesting looking at it had this been the format over the past 5 years. It basically would except in a few circumstances insured that the Titans, Steelers, Rams, Ravens and Vikings would have made the playoffs, when one of them missed each year.
