Kyle Allen #32 with deep ball accuracy

Via USA today. Sure alot of that was the suckage of the Oline. But a QB that isn't accurate wirh a deep ball won't cut it in this league. Arm strength is a subject also. If you can't stretch the field, you can't win many games. Something to keep in mind if QB #1 is gone.

You needed to read it somewhere to know this?  I watched it live on TV, the kid is bad at throwing the deep ball to put it nicely.  I just don't get the hype for Allen at all.  Maybe Brady and whoever the QB coach is can get something out of him, but for as high as a recruit he was he sure doesn't seem to have what it takes to make it in the NFL.  But what do I know.

Pretty sure having DW as your starting left tackle could screw up anyone's ability to throw the deep ball.

Doesn't matter. No matter what's going on when he throws it, he sails it high and no one knows whose hands it'll come down in. His future as a player is maybe getting signed off the street by some team with a #1 and #2 that both got injured.

So how long of a big money extension should we be giving him again?

Asking for LOTS and LOTS of friends.

    • I wonder if the Hornets view Kon and McNeeley more as forwards and plan to ship off Green/Okogie/Smith for center help. I hope they don’t plan to ship off Sexton as I like what he brings to the team. (2) G - Ball, Mann, Simpson (two-way) (3) G - Sexton, Dinwiddie, Connaughton (3) F - Miller, Knueppel, McNeeley, James (two-way) (3) F - Bridges, Williams, Salaun (3) C - Diabate, Kalkbrenner, Plumlee
    • 3 main reasons he was better in 2023 and none of them concern me for his NFL prospects 1. Totally new coaching staff that was a massive downgrade and had god awful play calling and designs, the entire fan base was ready to run the coaching staff out of town a month into their first season and the play caller ended up getting changed because it was so bad. 2. Along with the staff downgrade, his QB played significantly worse after being the Pac 12 Freshman of the Year in 2023.  Constantly missed T-Mac when he was wide open, lost out on a number of TDs and a good amount of yardage, half the time T-Mac still almost made miraculous catches on the bad passes too. 3. He hurt his ankle over the summer and missed all of fall camp only to return to practice a few days before the season started and I think he had to deal with it all season long and was slightly limping at times mid season too, but kept fighting through it to still be a 1st team All American.
    • Good luck to Burns. He’s fine as a third pairing defensemen but Rod is too stubborn to do that.
