What are the chances we make a splashy FA signing?

We just need young solid players with potential. The main position we spending on is our LG to help Little or Daley on the left side. Outside of that young players on the secondary, defensive line and linebackers. There will be growing pains, but it’s the best way to rebuild. Don’t need a bunch of peaked vets wanting a pay day.

Just because you dont win the lottery does that mean you stop playing? Sometimes you win some times you lose, just because it didn't work out doesn't mean it cant. Free agents can be busts just like draft picks. Thing is you need both to supplement and have a good football team.

In the real world, you stop playing the lottery when you understand that you really can't win (it's just a tax on people who can't do math). And honestly, it's close to the same in football, except that your chances of hitting a great big name free agent that pays off is about 1 in 500, rather than 1 in 4.7 million with the lottery.

Fools chase other people's riches.

In a word, no.  We have enough cap space for at least one marque name, but it won't happen.  The only FAs we sign are roster fillers and cheap relative to their position group's average price tag

Think of when Dave Gettleman said any FA shopping will be done at the Dollar Store. Sorta like that.
