It's staggering how many people seemingly can't comprehend this.

Not that hard to understand, but nobody has had corresponding dates to go along with lag times.

I guess we are saying 2 weeks now?

The last week, the country has averaged about 10 deaths per day, per state.  If 2 weeks is the lag time, then the next two weeks could be a doozy.

But we have also been yelling about protests and openings since the end 20th of May.  Not hard to understand again, just hard to put your finger on what to expect and make the numbers work.

Yeah most people who can fug you up and know it don't feel the need to posture and act like that. Those types are like human possums. Their first method of defense is to posture and hiss. If that doesn't work, run. The last resort is to play dead.

Usually those guys are calm af but if they blew up... better hold them back.  Some 170lb guy tried to fight my buddy who 270lb pure muscle and got black belt in Jujitsu.  I call those a chihuahua... bark is bigger than their bite.

Florida, redneck, dumb, angry, no mask, no respect. His chances of having the virus are high.

That's the thing. You see these yocals blatantly enterring restaurants or stores without a mask. If they don't have the sense to take simple precaustions you just have to assume they are going to some rebellious church or local speedway or lake boat party. They are walking petri dishes.

Who could have predicted just how fuging stupid a significant portion of our population could be? It's really like a differant species.

Magic!

Hospitalizations are up in SC.  All time high.  Has been a steady march north.  Biggest numbers since the pandemic arrived.   This same things applies to many states all over the map.

we (the US) botched this entire thing from the beginning.   Now we are in a window where any path is horrible.

Every leader opted to make it political.  All sides.  We aren't a super power.  We simply have a lot of guns/military might.   We are joke come crunch time.   Nation (again, both sides) is also full of idiots that ignore science, education and facts....and prefer poop on Facebook, twitter, and talking political heads.

List out the numbers you are talking about.

DHEC reports the cases, hospitalizations, deaths, age, etc every single afternoon.   Weekends included.

What do you want a list of?

Deaths are up slightly over the past 2 weeks, from 9 on a daily average to 11.  This coming off record after record of new daily cases for a while. You would think it would be much, much worse.  So a string of record number of cases is yielding a slight increase in the daily death rates (lag argument incoming).

Hospitalizations are at 1,300 statewide in SC with 2,800 beds still available.  That is 3x higher than lock down levels, but we have since hit a case level 10x that of the lock down period.

    • By all indications, the surgery was "minor." I know with all surgeries and especially back surgery there can be complications, but I think the whole time Tremble did this with the expectation he would be able to be back for Week 1 It sounds like he will be ready to start back in team drills next week. He's a veteran who knows the system so I'm sure that helps. I still can't imagine he will play a normal workload early on though
    • Maybe. He was pretty good in college before a bad injury. He had a good preseason last year as a UDFA in Washington and was on their practice squad all year so they obviously saw something worth developing. He signed a futures deal with the Panthers earlier this year, and everything about him has been increasingly positive. Tremayne has gotten a decent amount of time with the ones, and a lot with the twos for someone that doesn't have a chance. He's the only other 6'4" plus WR on the team, plays ST, and is a more natural backup to the X receiver position than David Moore. That was my thinking behind it. But he may well end up as one of the last roster cuts. If so, I do hope they can bring him back to the PS. But I personally think there's a good chance he could be claimed given his ST ability and what hes shown at WR.
    • That was my thought originally, but so many of the beat writers have mentioned keeping 7 WRs in conversations that I went with that, at least for the purposes of this projection. But you're right that historically defensive guys who were standouts at ST have tradionally gotten those last spots
