REPORT: per Jourdan Rodrigue, there is a high likelihood Panthers attempt to trade back from #7

Lastly I feel the main reason for the action on 7 is this. Miami doesnt need more picks, San Diego is NOT moving, Giants already drafted a QB lasted year, and Detroit is asking for the Moon plus mars. Carolina is a unknown and has Herniay as GM.

Kinda feel like we are dropping in the teens and the pick will be Kinlaw. Not really a Kinlaw fan but eh......it is what it is.

I’m out on a limb thinking it’s Chaisson mid first.

Honestly, I think you only trade down if A) you get an offer you can't refuse or B) you're not necessarily just targeting one player. If you have "your guy" and he's there, you draft him. With all of our needs and all of the talent available, I'm assuming we'd be part of group B hoping for A.

Dang I just sorta answered this right during your reply. Carolinas spot is where the action could start and be heavy. The picture is clearer with the teams in front, Chargers want/needa young QB, Giants never trade down/drafted Jones 6th last year, Miami already has 24 draft picks, and the Lions have been asking for RGKnee type like package. Panthers are unknown with a total new staff and think tank.

2:1 we move down and then get jumped by Atlanta for a better player

edit: imagine getting humiliated by Atlanta twice a season, again, only to voluntarily turn around and settle for a lower draft pick and inferior player because some middle rounder has caught our eye

From there we'll just need new Orleans to take Love or something and solidify their next QB in the draft we were supposed to and we will have finally, finally hit rock bottom.

or we get 2 good players and they get one

I think you’re dead on the money and we’re most likely group B.

If we trade back with the Falcons and they take Brown, so help me......  No, you know what?  We would deserve every beat down we get.  Not that things would change all that much.  Watching Brown abuse our pathetic OL would be like rubbing salt in a wound.  He's make Pardis his ******.

Love how people are getting upset over scenarios they made up in their head. We literally haven't done anything yet

    • Wanting that type of play and being okay with paying $55 million a season for it are two entirely different things. If Bryce were to become the same player Purdy has been, then he would surpass my expectations of him and I'd be okay with him as our QB of the future (and again, I've long been one of the bigger anti Bryce people here who doesn't think he is capable of being our long term solution). But in no world would I be okay with paying him THAT kind of money, paying an average starter elite money is just a terrible decision.
    • I don't think they can overcome that mistake. Hell Lance was a hiccup compared to this. He isn't going to be able to carry that price tag and now he is going to have to do just that. Lol. The NFL is so dumb sometimes.
    • So, one could say that T-Mac is quicker than someone of his size should be and while he might not be quite as fast as Evans in the 40, he's more athletic than Evans. If only someone, anyone, could have seen that in his tape and mentioned that on here, hmmmmmmm In all seriousness, hearing he tested in the 89th percentile in that drill at his size is crazy impressive.  Just tried to look up the times of the top WRs in the league right now, most don't show at time for that, but I did see Chase ran his in 7 seconds flat. I honestly don't know how true this is, but I do remember seeing one breakdown of his tape and the person said he has quiet and efficient feet.  That he's really good at using the minimal steps possible to make his cuts and because of that, it actually makes him look slower to the human eye because you don't see all the quick chop steps that the guys like Tyreek would use in their running. I'm still in a state of disbelief that he's a Panther and it might not fully hit me until week 1 and I see him out there making plays for us, still feels like Goodell is going to just be like, "YOU GOT PUNKED!!!  hahaha, he's a Cowboy now, suck it"
