That was Cam's best shot for going in as a backup and winning the job in camp.  Sucks for him, but waiting this late in the offseason to declare he'll basically settle for a backup role left him few options.  Now I can't see him signing someplace until at least camp starts or until someone gets hurt...which was his winning hand for the start.  Now it's his only option.

Signed him to that deal, then before he played a single down they traded up 1 spot to take Seabiscuit to make damn sure they didn't get stuck with drafting losers like Deshaun Watson or Patrick Mahomes. LOL

Dude,.. Tom Brady and Kurt Warner and even Jake Delhomme are more SeaBiscuit stories. Doug Flutie,....

not Trubisky,.. he’s not a Little horse with an attitude that everyone wrote off only to make a comeback with the right team of throw away fighters...

Trubisky, David Carr, Blaine Gabbert and other first round busts have nothing to do with a Sea Biscuit story.

Sea Biscuit still has track records that stand today after 90 years.

Yep its what Monroe would want but not the Khans. Tanking for qbs rarely works out but considering their QB history I can't knock them for wanting to increase their odds.

      Any idea what happened to him at LSU? im reading that he was considered a 1st round pick in 2023, had an off 2024 season with only 4 sacks but was also on a horrible FSU team then went to LSU where he was supposed to be on an aggressive defense that should have given him a lot of sacks but he only ended up with one….   was he injured? Did the top SEC competition expose him? What happened? Cause this guy was considered a top prospect .

      Sometimes its fun to read the threads/posts.  The panthers could literally hire a groundskeeper and we'd have a thread "improving the field for no other reason to prop up Bryce Young".  Apparently no move is ever done to actually make the team better.  All a conspiracy to just focus on Bryce Young. Or suddenly daydreaming and reminiscing about Sam Darnold when he was hated more than Bryce Young.  Its really fun to do a message board search about Darnold during that time period.   Or thinking there is just a tree that grows QB, and you can just easily go up and pluck one.

      Yeah okay. We as an organization have been more patient with him than many. And there has been a small parade of guys drafted since he was, also to bad teams, that have passed him. Some have lapped him. As a fan I am out of patience but he gets this year it is out of my hands always has been. I just hope the bar is higher than it has been for him.    FWIW, XL dropped two passes last year. He did do some other bad stuff, just saying.
