How bout Hardy without the insane factor?

I didn't bring him up bc of that, too much baggage. But yeah, his physical profile is really close to Hardy. YGM is a typical Hurney DE prospect outside the first round, so I'm encouraged bc there have been some successes. BB is the big money sack guy anyway so if this guy can even be a solid, Olivier Vernon type I'd be thrilled

The Hardy thing is just such a waste of talent man. He was so damn good in 2012/2013. He could do it all, rush the passer, defend against the run, drop back into coverage, etc. He gave our D so many amazing looks that other players could capitalize on too. Ever since he went haywire I’ve been desperately hoping to see another guy like him at that position here, but of course it hasn’t worked out. YGM is definitely like you said closer to Hardy than he is CJ and I have high hopes for him but it won’t be easy for him to get to that level. Very few have, across the entire league. But I agree even if he can become a guy like Vernon I’d be happy with that. Burns is pure pass rusher, which is great as seen by the impact guys like Von Miller have had, but still not quite what I’ve been wanting since we lost Hardy.

That’s a really high standard as far as football play craziness aside but he’s play was all pro level we can’t expect all it any players to reach that level. Pro bowl is high standards but all pro whewwww

    • Narratives change real fast because of how fast information travels these days and the need to generate clicks.  People said the Panthers were a great place for him to land but just because it was said doesn't make it true.  Was that true?  Did we have an All-star staff?  Did we have a good front office?  Did we surround him with talent?  Could the defense carry the load?  You have to squirt really hard to think it was just a bad rookie QB stinking it up all by his lonesome.   Saying the worst football teams have bad QB's is just low handing fruit.  It's the easiest thing to grab onto.  It could also be teams that have a bad coaching staff or no talent to surrounding the QB or a horrible front office.  It can also be a horrible QB.  To this day I think that T-Law going to the Jags might have ruined his career because of Urban Meyer.  I don't agree at all that Bryce's only good game of his entire career was against the Falcons.   Week 16 against the Cards (which is one of those last 3 games we mentioned) 36-30 OT win.  Threw 3 TD's Week 12 against KC 30-27 loss but Bryce went 24 of 35 for 263 yrds.  It was Mahomes magic that got us. Week 10 against the Bucs 298 yards in a close game with a passing TD and a running TD. We even had those flashes of what he could be in 2023 against the Packers, the 95-yard game winning drive vs the Falcons, or how he outplayed CJ Shroud with the win over the Texans. Especially in this respect you're not being truthful.
    • It's wild but there have been people placing most of the blame on Renfrow.
    • Right now he’s a little more advanced Anthony Richardson.
