Kurt Coleman, Color Analyst ??

Seriously, this guy never struck me as particularly articulate even though he was a beast when he played. At least he wont likely spend most of his time discussing the coach's ample chest.

Coleman was always a good dude and I thought he gave pretty good and insightful interviews. If nothing else, we know the guy works his ass off. When he was here he was often the first player on the field and last one off of it at training camp. I can't dislike this move; although it won't really affect me, not being able to see/hear local broadcasts anyways living out of market.

I thought Mixon was hilarious (not always in a good way but he wasn’t dull).  I was a delivery driver up in Boone for awhile and couldn’t watch the games (double shift fun on Sunday) so him and Eugene fulfilled my radio Sunday experience for a long time.

The move speaks volumes of the guy's character. I believe he did some of the on air coverage of the Panthers' Fan Fest this summer and honestly, he was good. I think he'll do great at the job: easy speaker, fast thinker, knowledgeable of the team and the game.

I remember that play, but until I looked at the link, I had forgotten that Coleman was a team captain.
