Arizona Cardinals (2-1) @ Carolina Panthers (1-2)

Where: Bank of America Stadium

Time: 1:00

TV: FOX

Today the Panthers host the Cardinals and have a chance to climb to a 2-2 record. There will be around 5000 fans at the game. I am interested in seeing how that looks.

Just read Hopkins and Kirk was playing.

Yep. Good. Our young team needs all the experience against upper their players that they can. Who knows how long this season will last, get them all the reps that they can. We don't need them to be essentially rookies next year also.

If we lose, we move up the draft board. If we win, we beat a decent team.

Yep win-win to some degree... Though I 100% prefer a big win against the Cardinals and us potentially actually competing for a wildcard spot this year...

Murray will likely shred the Panther D.

He's got a shot at doing that for sure.  National Expectations are that this defense is trash, but they did a good job against a highly rated QB last game.  Murray will be a little tougher due to his dual threat ability.  Going to need big games from Brown and Burns to keep pressure up.  Guys on the line need to get their hands up too because Murray is short.  Swat those passes.

    • Yeah we fuged up the Baker situation royally. Looking at him today, it was just a total fúck up. It wasn't Browns level, but it was a fúck up on several different levels.  If Mike Jackson has another solid season (which he has begun), then I think he gets the nod over Harris.
    • The one thing we can all probably agree on is that our run defense has been much better so far this year than last year. Outside of the one long run and the Jacksonville game, the Kyler run in the Arizona game, and 1 run in the Atlanta game, the run D has been pretty damn good
    • All this is great, but still...Penix was awful---missing wide open  receivers left and right. We still may have won the game if he had just been decent, but it's just hard to get too excited. Let's see some continued growth from the rookies, and another good outing and more consistency from the defense in general. If this happens, then excitement may begin to overtake skepticism.  We have to beat the Pats, or the raised eyes from the Atlanta beat down will become furrowed with the quickness, and any inkling of goodwill be lost.
